Our Great Indiana State Fair!!

Just an FYI to you all......on Monday August the 10th the Indianapolis Star paper will have free admission coupons good for August 12 and August 13 at the Indiana State Fair. So for those of you who like a bargain this is a goodie! I will be there both days (afternoon till closing) You will most likely find me riding on the #1 shuttle (I like the back seat :-) My hubby drives the tractor on that shuttle so.....I like to people watch! lol If you all are there give me a holler!

I hope to be posting regular on OH soon.... My job is ending the 7th and then my life will be back in order getting ready for the next chapter in my life! Hugs to You All!

I'm ashamed to say I've never been to the state fair! I've lived in Indiana my entire life and in the Indianapolis area for 4 1/2 years. Just always been afraid to venture out and try it, cause I wouldn't know where to park, etc.

Oh Melissa, Honey you need to go! it is such fun! I love to walk thru the expo hall (it is air conditioned) lol Then when I am tired I get something to eat and drink and hop on the shuttle and ride the rest of the day. I love seeing the sights, people and smells! I hadn't gone since I was about 16 until Jon started working the shuttle route 6 years ago and I was amazed at how wonderful it is. So much to see and it really doesn't have to be expensive. I ususally freeze a beverage to carry in my purse and grabs a protein bar or two and just walk, look see and enjoy. Lots of free stuff and givaways. Check out the web site and see if you can go. You won't be dissapointed!

you can park in the infield for free. If they are full there are parking lots next the FAIROUNDS.
We go every year, Usually on state employee day where Terry gets in free. We have the best time. Love walking through the DNR and the 4h buildings and Of course the vendor pavillions to buy stuff you never knew you needed!
YOu must go.

I think I will defintely make a point to try and go this year, if nothing else to take the boys to see the animals.Thanks everyone for the encouragement.

Awesome deal!! We went when we lived in Indy, but haven't made it back since we moved to Kokomo.  And for us, the free admission wouldn't work....first day of school is August 12!!! UNREAL!!!
