Glass half full post.
Earlier this week I posted about my weight gain while at King's Island. I think I have a tendency to freak out about the negative and overlook the postive. So, I wanted to post about the positive aspects of our trip.
I went to King's Island for 3 days with my husband and some friends. I walked all three days. I didn't even take my scooter. Last year I had to ride my scooter. Not this year! I have a bad back and was afraid it would be too much but my back didn't hurt at all! I got sore feet and banged up for a few of the rides but so did everyone else.
I made good food choices (except for a little tasting of my husbands goodies). I thought after the first day I would be really sore or stiff for day 2. But I wasn't.... I made it all three days and then stopped at a mall to shop on the way home.
I walked all the stairs to the water rides. One day it wasn't crowded so we had to climb them all at the same time...no line to give us a break....and I did it. I climbed like 7 flights and didn't have a heart attack and pass out.
I did fit in all of the rides. Even the ones I was afraid my boobies would make difficult! I was at the water park in my suit and I don't even think that anyone made a nasty comment about my size. While this is not something that upsets me too much it was nice not to have to deal with it. *I tend to get mouthy with folks when they poke fun at me or others.
Before we left I was afaid it would be too much for me. While I did experience some discomfort from the sun (I have lupus.) It was no big deal. It was like I was a normal person.
