Pre-op diet??

My surgery is Aug. 17 at St Vincent with Dr Diaz. I got a letter in the mail saying I needed to have 80 g or protein a day and low carbs, but it didn't say how low. So, I"m not sure. I have my nutrition class on Aug 6.  Anyone know if I will have to do the liquid diet thing??  What were  your pre-op diets like??

My surgery was with Dr. Evanson. He required no "pre op diet." I did have to do liquids for the day before surgery, but that was it. If you want to know exactly how low carb you should go, I would call Dr. Diaz's office and clarify. Best of luck to you!
