Hi friends. How are you all doing today? I am back on track today. Got up at 5am and did my lap swimming. Had a breakfast of lite yogurt and a multigrain english muffin.

I am feeling worn out mentally though today. Today marks five months since Maggie died. I feel empty and sad. I wish I could just hide away at home in bed, but I have so many people scheduled today at work. It's hard though.

Linda,
I just want to tell you that you are my hero.  I marvel at your strength and your willingness to share your weaknesses with us.  I feel truly privileged to be among those you share your thoughts with.
Love you,

Annette

Good morning all!!  It is a bit of a dreary day with the weather the way it is. I think that it brings on so much more sinus problems (for me for sure) but, that and the fact that when the sun doesn't shine it seems to just make a person more tired. So, I am up and at em but, slowly and surely. Alissa, we will have to get our men together and perhaps they will help each other with the man stuff. I also do a whole lot outside. Putting a lawn mower back together isn't my idea of help. I would end up with extra parts (wait, my husband does that too). LOL!  I do most of the work outside with the exception of the lawn and weed eating. And of course, now we have that huge drilling rig out in our front yard tearing a lot of things up. I know it's necessary but, man oh man it will be mess of dirt when they are done. We also have the dump truck coming today to leave 40 ton of dirt to fill in the yard over by the septic. So, there is more grass seed to plant. It's hard to keep your yard nice and tidy when you have trucks and dirt and did I mention cute guys? working in your yard. he-he.
You poor girl, we can't live with them but, we can't kill them. ha-ha! j/k I bet you enjoy sitting out on the porch with your book and coffee. I wish I could do that. It sounds really nice.

Sherri, enjoy the game. Tracy, you just have too much energy for me sometimes (LOL). Good for you.
Ayreka, glad you are home and feeling ok. You can use all kinds of protein sups. I did the bullets too but, got tired of them. I used milk and powdered milk a lot. 4 cups of 1% milk mixed with 1 cup of powdered milk gives you your daily intake of protein for early out post-ops. I mixed mine with decaf coffee and sf flavored syrups. Just sip, sip, sip.
Be Well  : )

Sherri, have a great time at the game today. Hope it stays dry for you. Plus you gotta love $15 worth of free food. Too bad you don't eat much! ;o)

Melissa,

With the prices at most concession stands, I'll probably be the only one in our group that is filled up with $15!

I keep looking out the windows every time I pass by them. It has been staying dry the past few hours but man, the clouds look horrible! Fingers are crossed!

Happy Hump Day

I am draggin a-- this morning.  I think I over did it yesterday trying to get some house work done.  I am working hard today to get all the protein, meds, exercise etc in.  It is almost noon and I am just getting ready to have breakfast, I did not get up until after 10 but it took 3 tynenol pm to get me to sleep last night.  I have some sleeping pills that I was given when my sister past away, I think if I have trouble tonight then I will try one of them.

Sherri I hope you get to enjoy that game, I havn't been to an Indians game in years since I work out at Bush stadium (that is telling my age now) LOL.

Tracy let me know if there is anything I can do to help with the support group, I am going crazy.   LOL.  I just spoke to my supervisor about how I can work out my doctors appointments if I return back to work before my LOA is over, since I will not have any vacation orsick time available until after 9/1/9 if I can get Dr Huse to approve me returning.  I have a desk job and I am ready to go back.

I a going to get something for breakfast, have a wonderful and dry weekend.

Hugs

Peggy
