Just spoke with Terry
I have tried to reach her the last day or two and hadn't heard back. I was beginning to get nervous. For some reason she wasn't getting my messages. The latest as told by Terry:
"My truck won't start. I'm waiting for a tow truck to come tow it and figure out what's wrong with it. When it rains it pours. Lyn's infections seem to be clearing up, the cultures are coming back negative now. The CT scans they did on Saturday finally showed where he's losing blood, it's in his chest. They still don't know why he's bleeding. They question if when the PICC line was placed there was a blood vessel punctured or something. Or it might just be a spontaneous bleed since he has been on coumadin. They are hoping that stopping the coumadin will make the bleeding stop. He got 2 more units of blood yesterday. His blood count is only up to 9, so we'll see if he'll need more. His arm is very swollen and painful.
I also asked about having a neurologist come see Lyn while he's here. He hasn't had an EEG since 2 weeks after the initial incident. He is on 2 medicines to stimulate his brain, but if they aren't working I don't want to keep giving them to him. They are going to do another EEG today, they reviewed his one from St. Vincent also. That's about it."
Now that her truck is being towed, she's stranded. Please if anyone gets the opportunity to go visit, I"m sure she'd really appreciate it. Lyn is on 8North, the palliative care floor. PM me and I can give you their last name if you want to visit. I can also pass along her cell number if anyone wants to talk to her.

Melissa,
I'll try to remember to give Terry a call tomorrow. At least the cultures are negative now so that's a start in the right direction. I hope that the EEG shows something promising.
It was so good seeing Terry & you Saturday. If you get a chance, could you go to the recipe thread and put yours for your chicken? Thanks!
Huggs to you both (and Lyn too!)!
