I know I don't post like I use to & to be honest I don't even go to events like I use to. I've pretty muc h have lost touch w/most of you on here because I'm having some really bad emotional issues that have lead to big time depression, anxiety, and some phobia's.

With that being said.....

I'm really overly nervous about my appointment w/Dr Bergman on the 27th. I'd really appreciate it IF  someone could/would find a way to attend w/me so I won't be alone.

If anyone would be interested ........ please PM me.

Thank You All Very Much

We haven't met, but I know first hand what those phobias are like.  They are the reason that I haven't met anyone from the board in person...

If you ever need to talk please message me...

Jodi,  sorry I cant be with you.  I wanna meet Dr. Bergman so badly.  With that being said.... Phobias and Fears are just limitations we place on ourselves.  Coming from the past we share, there were enough restrictions and limitations we had because of our size.  So, try really hard to focus on the new you... stronger, wiser, better, and more confident.  You have to fight to not allow your mind to put limitations on your new body.  YOu are amazing and you need to be strong and find peace of mind so you can be completely healed from Obesity.  I know you can do it... Huge hugs, and I am proud of you girl!

Tracy,

Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement. I wish I could overcome these fears and phobias - much of them however came from having an abusive childhood though. And even though I've been in therapy since my first suicide attempt at age 13, it is and will always be a struggle for me. Yes, I have good days, however with the passing of my father via cancer while I was batteling cancer has retriggered a lot of emotional things I though I had cleared up. I'm really trying not to let them give up my dreams, to which one was my tummy tuck and that is why I'm still going thru with having it done. I'm just finding the process of not giving up and continueing to be draining though, and unforunately for me I have been VERY good about making myself isolated from a lot of people that care for me and it would help me feel better about my self, self courage, and my relationship to STOP isolating myself if I could possibly have someone help me in small steps to follow thru with my tummy tuck process.

Thank you for saying you are proud of me. That statement honestly means a lot to me. Seriously it does.

Jodi-

I have PTSD from childhood abuse, and I totally get where you are coming from...

Baby steps are a BIG deal, but please don't let others make you feel like it should be something easy to get over.

You will get there girl, and think how great that new tummy will feel!!

Thank You Stacy for the words of kindness & understanding. I know that someday I'll get myself together just some days are more frustrating then most. Plus I have fund such wonderful encouragement here on this board.

When I first came here (Go**** will be 4 years now, as I'll be 4 years post op this August) I was the ONLY bander & most people either had no understanding of banding or thought my choice wouldn't give the same results their RNY's had - well..... I've become the best pro bander and example and proud of it. Infact if it hadn't been for Sherri "volunteering" my encouragement about the band I think I probably would have just sat here on the board, never attempting to go to any events, talking to anyone here inreal life, or making huge steps out of my sheltered self induced isolation. So even though some (or many) may seem rough around the edges to you right now (or lately). They really are a great gang of Ladies (& a few men) that I'm proud to count on as my cheer crew. They were great support in the birth of my baby (I have 15 years between him and his other sibiling), the discovery & treatment of my cancer, the death of my father, & even my wedding - all which have occured within the last year and a half to two years.

But sincerely, thank you thank you thank you for your understanding.
