Lyn update from Terry

CT done today. Don't know the results yet. Today's blood counts dropped a bit from yesterday. The doctor feels as though there is bleeding happening somewhere. Terry is torn as to what she will do if there is a need for surgery. She is emotional because she wants to make the right decision for Lyn. There is a chance that if she allowed surgery that he might not survive it.

Pray for peace for her decisions. Also pray for the blood cultures to become negative again, they have grown bacteria again. She is contemplating coming to the exchange on Saturday depending on what is happening with Lyn.

thank you for letting us know. I hope Terry is able to come tomorrow. It would probably help her to get away for a few hours.

It seems to me that if there is internal bleeding, Lyn would die if it isn't taken care of...wouldn't he? I don't see where this is a choice really. Any surgery poses a risk of dying. I know Lyn has a higher risk of that than most people but not doing anything at all wouldn't be good either. I hope that should the doctor recommend the surgery that Terry is able to sign the release...and put Lyn in the surgeon and God's hands. She has tried so hard to be there for Lyn through all of this. That woman deserves a metal.

I think what the doctor is thinking is that if there is internal bleeding, that hoping that it will clot off on its own. There is also the fear that if they put him through surgery, he will become dependent on the vent again. All of these things weigh heavily on Terry's mind. I'm gonna call her today and find out what the CT showed, will then post and let you all know.

Please let her know I'm thinking about her. I know none of us would know what to do if we had the decisions and daily care of another like she does with Lyn.  Not when one wrong one, no matter how well informed or how much done in love, can make the difference of having Lyn in her life or not. It takes a tremendously strong and loving person to be willing to be able to do that. Yes, I'm a Terry fan....
