New here.....so excited!!!

i'm so excited for my surgery! it's august 17 at 8 am. i can't wait!!! i decided to do the laproscopic gastric bypass instead of the lap band. the docs think i'll have better success with it.

i'm so excited, but also pretty scared. i had a c-section almost 7 months ago and had horrible complications with infection and wound dehiscence.  i hate the thought of another surgery especially with all i've been through lately. but i gotta do it. i want to be around to see abigail grow up. and i don't want to be the fat mommy!

Welcome to the OH Indiana board.  Great people here.  My daughter is having her surgery on 8/18/09.  Just a day after you.  Maybe you guys can race.

Welcome and Congrats!! Surgery is never any fun and plenty of people will be praying for your complete and full recovery. I am close if you need anything... (Between my job at wally world and my grandkids that is) but... know that even though this surgery is a big step it is a positve one!! aND WE REALLY ARE NICE PEOPLE who just want to help eachother.. We have gotten to be a family and as disfunctional as we seem to be from time ( aren't all families?)to time... we are normal.. REALLY..
