Just wanted to share this with you...

I know that some of you don't care one way or another but today was the 1 year anniversary of my brothers death. I had an ok day but now it is quiet and I am here alone just me and my thoughts and it is just starting to get difficult. The memories are rushing through my head and now I am sad. I miss him.

The first year is the hardest.  So many firsts, first birthday, first Christmas, etc without your loved one.   Be strong and take comfort in your memories.

Gosh do I know where you are!! I feel for ya girl... I have had my first week, my firsty month.. my first major life event I couldnt share with my sister... Try to keep busy during these days.. go to the grave, do some charity work in his honor... something but dont be alone on these days... It is noce to remember them but it only hurts us to hurt..

First off let me say, I am sorry for your loss. That would be very hard and emotional to deal with. Not an anniversary at all to celebrate and I am sorry for that. Can I ask you an honest question though ? I've seen you post on here and each time you post, you say "I know that some of you don't care". I just wondered why you say that when all I have seen from the people on this Indiana board is care and concern. Now when I go to the main board I see some nasty remarks and have experienced it myself from a few postings but, these people on here are sweet and decent and I just wondered why you always start your posts with, I know some of you don't care. If you don't want to answer thats ok, I just feel sad for you that you say that. If I felt like people here didn't care, I wouldn't be here or I wouldn't care if they cared or not when I posted.
Didn't mean to stir up any bees nest, I was just curious and thought I would ask.

I'm sorry for your pain. Every anniversary for the first five years after my dad died no matter how hard I tried it got to me. SOmetimes you just have to go with it and let all the feelings rush in. I know I always felt better when I lost it for a few.
