I can't believe it snuck up this fast. I'm so excited about it and terrified too. I am excited all day until I lay down my baby boy and I just have this horrible anxiety that they'll put me to sleep that day and I'll never see his sweet little face again. I'm really hoping for that sense of calm that you guys told me about.
I'm doing good on the pre op diet, I lost 11 pounds this last week. I can't believe it! I was at such a stall until this last month. Overall i'm down around 30 since I started this whole process.
I really wish I could get on here more because I just love reading what all of you have to say. I get so much strength when I see how much success you all have. I love how supportive it is too.
Well I'm off to sleep now. Talk to you all soon, hopefully.

I know exactly what you mean. My surgery is on Tuesday at Wishard. I am celebrating my baby girls 2nd Birthday tomorrow. I have been doing all I can with them now. I even recorded a short video blog telling them how much I love them just in case. I pray for that calm too. I am scared to death. I don't know how I have such a horrible feeling about it all. I wish I could be positive like so many others seem to be. But when you are a mother it's a different kind of fear.

Yeah I'm hoping that it is just that primal mothers fear of leaving him unattended. I don't really have a dreadful or bad feeling most of the time, its just the fear of the unknown. I hope everything goes well for you. It will be nice to have someone going through it so close to me You can let me know when you're up and going if I should run the other way. Hehe.

my only real suggestion for going in is to try and have a good attitude.  i found that's what made the biggest difference for me personally.  i knew that i would have pain but i also knew i needed to get up off my butt.  i was up walking w/in 6 hours of getting to my room.  remember you have pain meds and to use them.  when i left the hospital all the nurses let me know that i was the best bypass they've had thus far.  it made me feel very proud and let me know the attitude does make a difference.  remember you are doing this to better your life and that includes for your kids.  there's always the risk of course it is surgery but there's a risk if you don't do it also.  best of luck on your journey.  keep us updated.

I wasnt calm til they put that mask on my face and i woke up nervous and making sure ii and everyone else was alright.
I can tell you girls i missed out on so much with my boys cause i didnt do it sooner and i cant give that time back to them.
So know that you are doing something for yourself but it benifits them also.
Huggs and i will be thinking about you
if you need someone to post for you let me know
