My BFF Brandi had hers out in April and has the same pain often and has nausea often.  So, I am thinking it is very common.

I would call the doc if it is too much or if you are concerned.  They are always the best source of information.

Huge hugs, feel better soon.

Yes, it is common. It has to do with the bile or acid from the stomach. I don't know what relation it all has after WLS but, before I had my RNY I had my gallbladder removed about 20 years ago and still had some pain right after and occassionally years after if I ate or drank something spicy. I took antacids on a regular basis. Thank goodness now since WLS I have no more issues with heartburn or pain.
Hope you are doing ok girl. Take Care!!

I had such pain after my gallbladder surgery.  Turns out the my Spinchter Oddie has spasms.   Took many tests to find it out.  But with persistance, we found that was the problem.  I have started taking a pill twice a day that dries up my gastric juices (and about everything else also!).  But I do not have the pain but maybe every once in a blue moon.

Good luck!  I hope for your sake that isn't the problem!

Blessings,

Lois K
