Hi everyone.  What a week.  Took Lyn to the Dr Monday.  He had to see the surgeon about the bed sore.  They thought it was healing great, still a long way to go but it is so much better.  While at the VA hospital I wanted him to be checked for cloudy urine and a lot of lung congestion.  So went to ER and they ended up keeping him.  I had rode up in the ambulance with him so I was stuck in Indy, an hour and 45 minutes from home with no car, no clothes, no vitamins or protein and my cell phone went dead that afternoon.  Talk about feeling stranded.  I thought of calling some of you but had no numbers with me and they do not have computer access there.  I bought underwear, deodorant, toothbrush from the gift shop.  UGH !!  We came home Wednesday evening.  I was exhausted.  Yesterday morning a phone call woke me up from the Dr saying the culture report just came back and the oral antibiotics they sent us home was the wrong meds and the only 2 things the urine was sensitive to was IV antibiotics so she needed me to get an ambulance again yesterday and come back to have a PICC line inserted.  Got home late again last night and he is now on every 6 hours IV's.  Hope this does the trick.  Otherwise he remains about the same.

I seem to be in a long stall again but I have caught myself grazing lately..I just get busy and it is so easy to grab something.  I also gained 3 # in the hospital the last few days but my rings are tight so I know it is fluid.  Gotta get with it again.  I have lost around 80# in 6 months.

County fair is this week and I am hoping to have someone stay with Lyn so I can watch the grandsons sell their pigs.  I missed the pig show Tuesday evening and they were also in the hog wrestlng contest last night and I missed that.

Also hoping to get to come to the clothing exchange but I don't think I will be able to find someone to stay with him that day.  I need to as I am now in a size 12 and even headed for a 10 soon.  Never ever thought I would be able to say I was in a size 12.

Gotta get going, his IV is about ran in and I am going to lie back down for awhile.

Have a good weekend,  Terry

Good morning all!

I am running late for everything.  Peggy texted me at 445am to tell me she was on her way to St V and I apparently turned off my alarm.  So I woke up with 30 minutes to get to work.  I did the speed shower and makeup and made it here 1 minute late.  Good thing I live on the same road as the plant huh?!

I will update you as soon as I hear from Steven about Peggy.

Terry, Hugs to you and Lyn.  Tell him the shorty girl is still missing his big brown eyes.  You are in my prayers.

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Hey all.... how are you doing? I hope everyone's well. I'm just getting into the work day. Got a double again today, between both gigs. It's going to be a long day. I was up at 5am to do lap swimming at the Y at 6am. Got in 30 minutes of laps, and then had a nice breakfast of scrambled egg white and wheat toast. Now, I'm ready for the day.

I was all the way back up to 167 on the 4th, last Saturday. That was 22 pounds gained since  the accident. About 1 pound per week. I decided that was it. I worked too hard to give it up. I have lost 3 pounds this week, from Saturday the 4th, through today. That's pretty good. I want to be back down to my goal weight for November, when I have my 3 year check up.

Good morning!

Terry..It sounds like you and Lyn have had one heck of a week. I hope things slow down abit and you are able to do some of the things you want. I'd love to be able to see you at the clothing exchange.

We're taking Lotus at 1 to get her nails trimmed and a de-shedding bath. She loves PetSmart.

I finally got all my tunes loaded onto my harddrive. While we are at PetSmart, I'll probable run over to Best Buys and get me a couple of 16 GB flash drives. I want to make back ups for my tunes..one for here (and on the road with the laptop) and one for at work. I need to figure out which songs I want on which MP3 and for the digital frame. I also need to figure out which pics are going on the digital frame. Don't worry, all my buds here will be included! LOL!

I have been waking up with very stiff joints in my fingers. Anyone else have this? I would think that maybe it's just that I'm just getting older but it started very suddenly within the past 3 weeks. I can normally get the soreness worked out after being up for an hour or so. The past two days though, the middle finger on each hand is taking longer and longer. You'd think I  jammed them or something.

I hope you all have a good day today....

Oh Terry, I'm so sorry you were stranded. Just for future reference, my number is in the phone book. Please don't hesitate to call me!!  Hope the IV antibiotics do the job for Lyn. I also hope and pray you can find someone to stay with him while you come to the clothing exchange. I'm also in Size 12 and have a friend giving me "bags full" of clothes tonight. I'll never use them all and will be happy to hold on to them for you if you would like.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hello Everyone,
Terry,You and Lyn are in my prayers. I know what it is like to be stranded at the VA hospital...we were in Danville IL with my father in law a few years ago. I am glad you both are home now.

I am so glad to hear Peggy is now to the recovery stage!

I have been trying to get up and get going after such a bad day yesterday. I felt awful. Guess we have days like that. Hope everyone has a wonderful time at the clothing exchange...I look forward to that someday!

Have a great friday everyone!

Good morning to all!!  Glad to say I have been busy at work lately but, I am soooooooo glad it is Friday (and payday) wooohooooo.
The weekend forcast is all rain (ICK). I am so sick of rain. Because of all this rain our septic is which is only 5 yrs old has pretty much gone bad. We found out that infact, it was not installed properly and the guy who did the work is dead now, so we can't go back to him. So, we are going to the inspector at the health department who approved it back then. Also, last night we had NO water and called out the well guy this morning. He informed us that our pump has gone bad. Man... when it rains it pours (literally). I think all the ground rain and the fact that our county road drain is so bad that our land isn't draining properly is the cause of a lot of our problems. That also is the Health Department guys business. We have been calling them for years and they keep putting us off. Our neighbors are having probs too. How do you get city officials to pay attention to your needs?  It is ridiculous.
Had my blood work drawn today for my 12 month checkup with Doc Jones next month. Felt like a pin cushion. 14 vials of blood!!!  Yikes, I hope they get my readings ok, I don't want to do that again for another year. LOL
I hope everyone has a good day. Despite the fact that I couldn't shower this morning, I put on my deodorant and am going to have a GREAT day.  :)
(((HUGS))) to all.
Be Well  : )
