3rd Annual Camp-out: Reminder
Post Date: 6/24/09 6:52 am
Every year we have a camp-out at the Middlebury KOA (near Shipshiwana). The owner of the KOA, Hope Perkins, is a member of the Indiana OH board. This time of year she is extremely busy so I offered to post the information for her.
When: We time it so that we can attend the Middlebury Summer Festival. This year, it will be August 7-9.
Price: Hope offers the sites at a 15% group discount for the Indiana board. The prices have not gone up since last year. They are:
RV's: FP 30amp $39.14
FP 50amp $42.14
Tents: WE across from sewer sites $32.96
Kabins $55.77 all plus tax
When you call to make your reservation, be sure to let who-ever answers the phone know that you are with the Obesity Help group so that you can be located nearby (and get the group rate discount).
Each member needs to call in their information (800) 562-5892) and deposit. Bill & I will be at site 24, the end site...where we we last year.
Previously, we had a pitch-in dinner on Saturday night. As we blossomed in size, so did the amount of work that this took to accomplish...so...we decided instead for us to all meet for dinner at the Amish Restaurant in town (5 PM). Brenda & Floyd was able to get us some coupons for there. Terrific food...and they do the cooking & the dishes! We will still have the gathering around the campfire each night.
(*** If ANYONE has any of the sugar-free marshmallows that BariatricEating use to sell, please contact me. They don't have them anymore and the ones from PerfectlySweet.com are to small to roast for our sf schmore's.) Please let me know when/if you make your reservations so I can be sure to add you to the emails that I will be sending out as the time approaches.

Chris & Wally Shanna & Family Nan & Mark (from over 50's board) Phillis & John (from over 50's board)

Lori,
All are welcome to join in on the fun! Drop me a note at [email protected] and let me know if you'd be interested in joining us for dinner. I'll be calling up there and getting a reservation since there are so many of us. When you email me, I'll send you my cell # so you'll have a way to contact someone who is there.
Sherri
ps..the same as above applies for anyone who would like to participate but not stay at the KOA overnight.

Christie,
I got an update from PictureTrails showing that someone was looking at the RV pics. I, of course, thought of you. Those pics were of our old RV...the Jayco. I added an album for pics of the RV we have now..it's a 35' (instead of 27') A-Class (instead of C-class) with one slide-out. I may be partial, but to me, it is WAY better than the Jayco was. You might want to go check out the pics of it...although, I don't think they do it justice.
I talked to Bill about scoping out deals for you. He said to just send us the particulars that you're wanting and he'll get on it. He loves doing research projects like this.
