I've always been a side sleeper and since my surgery my shoulders are killing me!  I flip from side to side all night long.  I've tried different pillows and different sleep positions but I always end up on my side.  I put a pillow between my knees to help with my back but what can I do about my shoulders?

HELP!!!

I sleep with a sleep pillow on the side of me and rest my shoulder on it  if i dont my arms are sore in the morning.
I would love to have my waterbed back right now....

I've always been a side sleeper with one arm up under the pillows but, since I had a rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder 2 years ago, I mostly lay on the left side now and lo-and-behold my left shoulder is now hurting, so in order to prevent an upcoming surgery on it I am trying to sleep on my back. It's hard though because as you said, you wake up in that side position in pain. I wish I knew the answer too.
Good Luck!!
Be Well  : )
