Hump Day

Happy Wed my fellow Hoosier Losers!  I have so much going on right now, three of my grandkids are coming to stay with me until school starts!!!  OMGosh I don't  know how I am going to do that and work full time but I will find a way.  My son who is 15 has so graciously agreed to babysit for me while I work.  He needs some responsabilties this summer anyway, plus a lil pocket change wouldn't hurt.  Other than that nothing much new going on in my neck of the woods.  Take care of yourselves and I will be reading the boards each day and hopefully can find a few moments each day to catch up with all my OH buddies.

I'm over the hump since I have Friday off for the holiday.  Stupid budget passed so I am back to work.  I was hoping it wouldn't pass until Thursday so I could have a couple of days to get thing caught up at home.  I may have to come to work in my jammies if I don't get some laundry done.

Enjoy the cool day.  Sleep with the windows open and get some fresh air moving in your house.

I was thanking the Lord for the budget being completed last night. A day or two off w/o pay would really hurt me. So I'm at work today!

Personally, I dont think our elected officials should be paid until a budget is past EVERY YEAR.. It should be their first priority.. before adding new laws to make our lives miserable.

It would have really hurt Scott and Melissa if they had to go a few days without pay.

Morning all. I am glad the budget got settled too. I would have liked a couple more days off, but I need the $$$ too bad right now. Gotta save every penny I can.

It's amazing how many different jobs would have been affected by the state budget, huh? I still don't get why casino's would had shut down. Aren't they independently owned? I thought they provided an income TO the state...not the other way around. Or is it because all the governing offices would had been shut down? Are they that afraid that the casino's would go totally corupt if Big Brother isn'****ching them for a few days? Anyway. My sil is also happy that the budget passed although he would have milked out a few days off of work. His job? He fills the vending machines at the state buildings (courthouse, ect). IMO, there shouldn't be extra pay to the congress for having to have a special session to do their job! They should have never been allowed to leave their normal, regular session (included with their pay!!****il the budget was passed. Aren't we just encouraging them to NOT do their job when we tell them 'if you don't get this done, we will pay you extra to come back and do it'? Nope. No one would want me in a position to make the rules congress would have to live by! Well..no one in congress anyway.

Ok..that is Sherri on her policial band wagon! LOL! Who needs Republican or Democrats? What ever happened to just good old common sence????

Yaye! I drove yesterday!! Okay, so it was just a few blocks over to the fruit & veggie stand, but it felt so good to get that little bit of independence back! Hopefully, I can keep cutting back on the pain meds so I can venture further out! I think Bill has had a little bit of cabin fever too. He didn't mind at all putting my purchases in the truck. I think I was feeling fruit deprived. I got: bing cherries (thanks Kathy...you made me want to try them..lol), white grapes, strawberries, watermelon, canteloupe, apples, and banana's. I whipped together a sf banana pudding for Bill yesterday. He's been so wonderful through all this medical stuff and it's one of his favorites. I got several veggies too. I think I could live off of seafood, veggies, and fruit. Bill...add more meat and subtract the fruit and he'd be happy.

Since the temps have dropped down, I'm going to see if Bill wants to take a walk today. If I don't have any problems, I will probably walk some more while he studies. I'm definately getting cabin fever!

Sherri, the casinos would have had to shut down because the state police officers, AKA Indiana Gaming Commission, would not be able to work.  Therefore, no regulators, no business.  It happens like this every year, in just about every state in the union.  We just heard more about it this time than normal, because our illustrious governor decided to put the scare tactics out to get the budget done in time. They didn't want to have to open for a special session, and just wanted to have the holiday weekend off sooner.  Normally, the offices would request and extension, and just have it sent in by the 10th of July........just long enough to make them wait! Instead, it just made us all a little antsy knowing that this time he would actually shut offices down, instead of allowing an extension.  Oh well, either way, I am just glad it is over with, and we can continue our daily routine.

I am up and ready to go but not sure where i am headed.lol
I am going to the gym after 12 and then back to work on my house.
The girls i went to school with wonna get together for dinner and a drink,i get to plan it all its so amazing  how i am willing to be one of them now before when in high school they were a clique of preppies and i was a loud mouth b   who hung out in the parking lot and people where afraid of..
My house is like a pet store i have puppies dogs and kittens and cats and teenagers so extra cleaning.
Jeannie  our you ready for the grandbabies?I think all teens need responsbilities,Andy has been helpin the girl across the street out since her husband has passed ...I i know watching him ive done somethin right.Have fun with the kiddies.
Sherry Neil had me pick up a bushel of peaches yesterday and i got plums but krogers had no cherries made me mad........Enjoy your walks
Annette i never knew how many of us the budget was going to hurt it is scary.
Lindav  are you excited about getting rid of those teeth?I go July 6th to see about mine i cant wait.
