Well, one shopper in particular!!! I just got yelled at by some lady for telling her I could not lower the price of her shoes by $20 without verifying they were actually on clearance. I just wanted to scream at her, "I buried my daughter this spring. If the worst thing that happens to you today is your shoes ring up wrong, count yourself blessed and move on with life!!!!!" It wasn't like I refused to help her, I just needed to go through the proper channels. I don't know why people think they should be able to treat service workers like crap.

Ladies, I know exactly what you mean.  I have worked for the same agency for 36 years.  My job entails dealing with the public - over the years it seems to me that the public is becoming more and more demanding and rude.

One thing I will not tolerate is people that think they can come in and curse out my staff.   I have our security officer remove them from the premises.  They don't need to come back till they can act like decent human beings.

That's why I try to make it a point to be pleasant and polite when I am at a store, restaurant, etc.  I put up with enough of that crap at work!!
