Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. I'm extremely nervous.  I've been excited since I got the date, but now that its here im freaking out a little bit.  I'm worried about being in pain, or getting sicker or not doing the right things.  Im worried that I'll get some kind of infection and it will turn into a whole big drama. Im worried I wont have the strength I need to do what has to be done.....Im worried that i'm really going to miss food more than I think I will....

I've tried to prepare as much as possible, but one never knows whats going to happen and what you'll need until it comes up.

Anyways, thanks for letting me vent.

PS- does anyone know if I can take my laptop with me to St. V Carmel??

Jamie, we've all had the same fears as you are having and would be worried if you didn't have any fears! You will do fine and you will utilize this new tool to make yourself so much healthier and happier! You can take your laptop to St. V's and we'd love to hear from you! Just think, this year, Independence Day will take on a whole new meaning for you!

I know exactly how you are feeling. I am not sure about laptops in the hospital? I was wondering the same thing at Wishard? I know most hospitals have a "business computer center" for patients that you can log into to check your email. But I am not sure if you have wifi at a hospital or not? I think it might mess with equipment like cell phones but not certain?

I am bringing my iphone. If I can take a walk outside I will log on and update people.

Jamie, as Melissa has already said we all have experienced those very feelings before surgery.  You will do fine and you will be in good hands.  No probs w/ bringing a laptop !!!!!  Keep us posted how your doing as soon as you feel like it !!!!!!
