Hi Everyone, how are you all doing? I am getting frustrated with all this stuff. I finally got through my 6 month doctor supervised visits on june 10. All of my requirements for insurance were completed. I got a phone call on monday from clarian bariatrics they said that as of june 1st medicaid no longer was taking clarian patients. So they referred me to St Vincents. I called and have an appointment on July 13 with Dr. Kaderabek. When I was talking to st vincents they said that I would have to do things over with them. They said I probably will not have to do the 6 months again but the psych evaluation and all other things I will have to do over. Has anyone had Dr. Kaderabek as their surgeon? How was he? I'm not giving up but I am just discouraged. I didn't have a specific amount of weight to lose through clarian but I have lost 55lbs within the last year on my own. In the last 6 months I lost 25. As everyone knows it is so hard. I am hoping I don't have to lose a lot more through St Vincents. I know all dr's have different guidelines, I just hope they take into consideration how much I have already lost. I'll stop now. If you made it this far thanks for reading.

Hey Holly. I understand your frustration, but don't give up, it will be worth it in the end! I have no experience with Dr. Kaderabek so I can't help there. But I did have my surgery through St. Vincent and the psych eval and classes will have to be done. It should go quickly because you've got so much accomplished already. Hang in there.

Hello there ! I also had Dr. K and he is a great surgeon, he is a little quiet but he will answer all of your questions and will explain very well. His office staff and nurse are very friendly and quick to respond to your needs and questions. He does things a little different than most of the surgeons at St. Vincents, no biggies just a few different preferences. I'm pretty sure he will take your prior weight loss into consideration too. Hopefully Clarian can send your records to St. Vincents and make the switch a smooth transition. I can understand you not wanting to go through the process again or repeat things but keep your sights set on the ultimate goal, having weight loss surgery and starting a new and wonderful journey. Good luck and if you have any more questions about wls or Dr. k just ask!
