Wednesday...

Good morning everyone!

Wow! Are we all being sleepy heads this morning or what?

I'm going for my first follow-up with Dr. Bergman today. I'm kinda excited for her to see how good the incision line looks. It is so terrific to NOT have open wounds on my stomach!!  I measured my stomach and alot of the swelling has gone down. I think she's going to be pretty happy with the visit. My first post-op visit with Dr. Gupta is Monday. Maybe she'll be able to start breathing a little easier then. Other than being sore like my muscles were manuevered around (which they were), I'm not too bad. No sharp pains at all like the ischemia. No swelling up during the day. What swelling there is, I think is just from the surgery..not the intestines. I still have diarrhea..but I think that the antibiotic I'm still on is to blame for that as much as anything else.

I tried on a pair of my jeans just to see if I could zip them yet. I couldn't yesterday. I could! Woo-hoo! I didn't leave them on because that was without the binder and I didn't want the zipper to be rubbing on the incision line but isn't that terrific!?!?! I haven't been able to wear a pair of zip-up jeans in almost 2 years. My one wish on my last day of work was that when I return, it would be in a pair of jeans. I'm gonna be able to do it!! Yaye!!!

I know. The new people here are going to think I am entirely too wrapped up in being able to wear a pair of jeans, huh? LOL! Honestly, I'm not ate up! My life did a total flip about 2 years ago and it has taken this long for it to get back on track...physically. Life is good!

first of all i wanna congratulate Sherri on the jeans...whooooooHOOOOOOO. it wont be long now chickie!! yay!!!

i saw dr jones yesterday and she said she feels that RNY is still the best bet for me and that i shouldnt have any problem with the surgery on the 10th, providing my stress test this friday goes well.  i should know something after i see the cardiologist this friday after the stress test.

not wanting to get all excited...i will take it as it comes.  we will just see what friday holds in store for me.

today, i am getting ready to head to rehab in kokomo...whoooooooHOOOOOO...not much of a fan....monday hurt like hell...well see what the rehag has in store for me today.. LOL

Hello everyone. Got up and out early this morning, had a meeting at work. My party went well last night and Jana and Annette both got to eat some very yummy food! Now I have to decide what I want to order. Kept my party open for a few days, so I still have time to decide. Just had some left over seasoned chicken for lunch. It was so yummy.

I've got to get the toddler bed out of the garage and get it cleaned up cause Zach has decided he will no longer stay in his crib at naptime. Crazy kid.

Pam, I will pray that all goes well with your stress test and that it's a go for your RNY on the 10th.

Sherri, congrats on getting into a pair of zip up jeans! How exciting for you. You life is finally gonna get going in the right direction again!

Melissa - glad you had a good time at your party.  Sorry I couldn't make it!  Seems like even though the guys are gone on their camping expedition and I'm by myself, I've been even busier between work and checking on my elderly in laws.  I didn't get home till around 6:30 last night.

Sherry, I am so happy that you are feeling better and dang its about time. I know that I haven't known you that long but, mercy when I read your post I breathed a sigh of relief (ha). You have just gone through so much and its just great that it seems things are finally looking up for you. The jeans are a neat WOW story.

Pam, I just love doc Jones and she will be very up and honest with you. Just think girl... you are getting a total overhaul LOL and soon enough your WLS will be over and you will be on your way to a healthy you.

Melissa, I'm glad your party went well. I never have luck at parties . It just seems like people don't show up. I'm a great hostess with the little guests I have. I'm Italian and an enabler so of courst I am a good hostess HA! So, the little one is growing up. Awwwwwwwwwww  going to a big boy bed. So cute!

My day is good!! We got our pool up (again) last night. We had to drain it and start over because the well water had so much sedement that we could not clean it all out. So, we dumped it and ordered water. It turns out it was about half the price we thought it would be because this pool is smaller than the one we had the last few years. Now, we have to wait for it to warm up because burrrrrrrr its cold and I get cold easier these days. Sun and Fun this weekend baby!!!

Hey gang!  It's so nice out.  I love the warm weather!  I dont mind how hot it is at all.  It's the first time since last year I have been warm!!!!

I hope you all are having an awesome day.  I am so far.

I am making plans to go visit my boss in the ICU at Ft. Wayne after work.  He still isnt waking up yet.  I sure hope he is ok.

Been trying to clean house.lol
I either need a bulldozer or a magic wand its not dirty just cluttered.Last night the kids and i fixed dinner and sent it over to the neighbors house she has had a lot of company my heart breaks for them.
Neil had a bad spell with his heart so he has a stress test tomorrow and i think we may ride to franklin to see how Robin is doing woith her surgery.....
