Third Annual OH Camp-Out!!!

Every year we have a camp-out at the Middlebury KOA (near Shipshiwana). The owner of the KOA, Hope Perkins, is a member of the Indiana OH board. This time of year she is extremely busy so I offered to post the information for her.

When:  We time it so that we can attend the Middlebury Summer Festival. This year, it will be August 7-9.

Price:  Hope offers the sites at a 15% group discount for the Indiana board. The prices have not gone up since last year. They are:
RV's:  FP 30amp $39.14            FP 50amp $42.14 Tents:  WE across from sewer sites $32.96 Kabins $55.77 all plus tax

The following is blocked out in my name (Sherri Johnson) with the group name of OH Indiana. When you call to make your reservation, be sure to let who-ever answers the phone know that you are with us so that you can be located nearby.
RV sites: 3 full hookup (ours, Ellen & Dana?, Jan & hubby?, do we need more?)
Tent sites: 4 water/electric (one of these is reserved already for my daughter's family...so 3 available right now)
Kabins: 2 (Brenda & Floyd...Cindy?)
Each member needs to call in their information ((800) 562-5892) and deposit -changing current reservation to their information. If we need more sites, that's cool, but we need to let Hope know as soon as we can so that we can be as centrally located as we can be. Bill & I will be at site 24, the end site...where we we last year.

Previously, we had a pitch-in dinner on Saturday night. As we blossomed in size, so did the amount of work that this took to accomplish...so...we decided instead for us to all meet for dinner at the Amish Restaurant in town. Terrific food...and they do the cooking & the dishes! We will still have the gathering around the campfire each night.

Sherri - the prices quoted are per night?  Just want to make sure I set aside enough dough!  LOL  I love camping - we don't have an RV yet, but want one badly.  So - we'll be in a tent.

Love the idea of changing the pitch in into a meet-dinner. There is normaly way to much food compared to the amount of people that come in, then not to mention that a few people put way to much in for the pitch in and some people don't. Sounds like a very solid idea to me. I'm pretty sure Matt & I will be there, Kidless. Can't wait to see everyone, especially since I can't seem to make it to the clothing exchanges lately.

Prayers & Blessings

Jodi,

None of the food went to waste last year. We ended up bringing home very few left-overs (much to Bill's relief). The decision not to do the pitch-in had nothing to do with the amount of food. It completely had to do with us wanting someone else to do the cooking and clean-up.
