I am looking for a WLS Friendly Family Doctor

I had revision surgery to DS in April.  Since then I found I would like to change my Family Doctor.

Is there a viable list of Family or General Doctors anywhere that have some degree of understanding for patients with WLS.

I live on the Southeast side of Indianapolis right now (near Greenwood) and work in Plainfield.  Anything close to either area would work for me.

Thanks.

I would love to recommend my doc to you, she is the most wonderful, caring, loving and patient doc I have ever had.  She has totally supported my wls decision and always lets me know how proud she is of me.  Shanna from the OH board also has her as a doc.  And Christie she is in your neck of the woods so thats a great bonus.  Here is her web page. http://www.stfrancishospitals.org/SFMG/DesktopDefault.aspx?t abid

This link takes you to the hospital home page, so look at the post below for Dr Lynch's info.  I know it says she does babies, but she does more than babies.

Oh cool!  She is close!  Only fly in the ointment is that last I heard, St. Francis was pulling out of Blue Cross....  I'll have to check to see if she is still in-network!  Thanks!

That is why I am looking for another Doctor.   I like the doctors at their office but concerned about future care.

I also use Express Scripts mail order for medications and the last time I had to renew my prescriptions, they had to go through a longer process because they don't interface with them.   Normally Express Scripts can check with the doctors office, etc. automatically.

Dr. Gerald Mick is fantastic too.  He is a St. Vincent's hospital physician.

My family doctor is located on the Eastside and he is wonderful.  His name is Bernard Herbst and he is affilicate with St Francis.  He has been my family doctor for over 25 years and he has been very supportive and knowledgeable through mine.  He is very supportive of my revision coming up 7/10/9.

Thanks about the info on Pamela Lynch.

My only problem is that it is St. Francis.  Right now my existing doctor is actually in the Mooresville office and he may be in the same office.  I was looking for someone new since their office handles the excpress scripts manually rather than through an automated process.  The physician I had there was not too knowledgeable about the special needs of WLS patients.,
