Hey Everybody!!!  I'm kind of new to this so I'm sorry if this has been asked before.  I am needing to get my psych eval done and I am new to this area ( Noblesville, Carmel area).  I was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation on a good doc to go to for this.  I would greatly appreciate any feedback.  Thanks!!!!!

I did mine at St.V's with their doc there.  He is strange but we made it thru with no problems.

Are you a St. V patient?

huge hugs,

I started out at St V's, I really wanted to go to Dr. Jones.  Unfortunately my insurance will only cover one hospital in the state and it's in Merrillville.  Good news is they are letting me do most of my stuff down here so I don't have to travel up there for absolutely everything.  So right now I'm needing to get my 1 support group in and my psych eval. ( Preferably one my ins. will cover..)  Honestly I'm starting to get confused with all the back and forth,   but I know it will be worth it in the end.

What insurance?  I'm asking because the only "prefered" place my insurance has is also in Merrillville.  BUT because it's way over 100 miles form my home they have to pay anyone I goto as an in network provider, so I get to go to St. V's.  It's $120 to see Dr. Stole and he's creepy, I don't know if he does evails for other hospitals or not though.

I have Aetna and I tried to get them to let me go down here since Merrillville is so far away.  They wouldn't do it b/c they reimburse gas, travel and hotel stay for anything over 100 miles.  So, I guess it's not that bad, I just don't like all the traveling...

Did you have the reimbursement option?  I'm just wondering who I could talk to , I would really like to go to St. V's.  if I can get them to pay for St. V's since Methodist is so far away that would be great.  Any advice you might have would be greatly appreciated......

I also had mine at St. V's in Carmel w/ Dr. Stote.  I'm assuming you have health insurance, if not then you can disregard the following info.  You have to pay upfront for the exam and then submit a claim to your insurance company for payment.  My insurance company needed a code that wasn't provided within the info giving to me at the time of the visit.  I called Dr. Stote per my insurance company request to get this code and he wasn't helpful at all, he told me to file a different form that they would have to except so I contacted my insurance company again told them what I was told by Dr. Stote and they said no matter which form I use this code has to be on it too, so...............  To this date I'm still waiting on my possible payment I call monthly if not more to see how it's coming along w/ no avail and my point is you might want to check w/ St V's and your insurance company on who you plan on using and make sure they both approve or accept them.

Hello! Welcome! I would call your insurance to ask for a list of in-network psychologists that they would cover. You can take the list and make some calls to see who does these type of evaluations. That way you would know it would be covered!
