Thursday
Good morning all!
It is a wonderful morning for me. I had one of my favorite nurses tonight...Heather. After the past couple of days and the -otches I've had, that alone made last night a very good night. But wait...there's more. I woke up to a yucky...but wonderful surprise! I pooped!!! I went in the bathroom and poped alot more!! Woo-hoo! Here we'd all been waiting for the gas and my body decided to just skip to the serious stuff. I am so happy that it happened with Heather here and not one of those day nurses! This should get me out of the broth-jello-juice loop. I hope Dr. Gupta beats breakfast in but if not, lunch WILL be good no matter what I get! I should be able to get more of a timeline plan from her now. So far, it's all been 'let's take one day at a time'. If I'm not mistaken though, I think the plan was 1-2 days on soft food to see if my intestines could handle that and then 1-2 days on regular food to see if they can handle that too. Actually, these 2-4 days are scarier to me than the preious 10 has been. There's not alot to get held up when you are only having liquids.
I weighed myself this morning and I am back to the weight I was pre-op. I can tell that I am still retaining fluid though in my thighs and butt so now I should be able to start appreciating on the scales the diet I've been on for the last 10 days. Hopefully I don't get the same tech today as I had yesterday. All she did was gripe about having to empty my hat constantly. She's use to people being sent home to pee out all those bags of IV solution...not doing it while they are still in the hospital. I tried to explain that to her. She blamed my tea instead. Whatever.
BYW newbies...this is not a WLS I've had. It is from complications that have been on-going for the past ~2 years from another procedure. Check out my profile for more info if you want.
huggs to all!!!

I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
Sherri! Yeah!! You want a M&M (sf of course) for doing #2 in the potty? That's what my 2 year old gets! LOL JK. So glad things are starting to move through. Hope you are eating soft foods and enjoying every bite today!
I'm heading to the gym for another workout session with the trainer (nevermind the fact my legs still hurt from the other day). Definately gonna be an upper body workout today! Thn I have agreed to be part of a research study on disposable training pants with my potty training 2 year old. I have to go fill ou the paperwork and pick up my samples to start working with. Then I work tonight. Hope everyone has a good day!

Good Morning all,
It sure doesn't feel like Thursday, i keep thinking it's tuesday. I slept the first 2 days of the week. I started feeling better on tuesday and then yeatserday I had felt aweful. Today seems to be better. Now I have no taste of anything(that could be good).Bella and I went to the ppol yesterday an dI got burnt. I needed the sun, it was only out half the time and I was cold I couldn't stand to be in the water and it was 86 when we left. Could of been cause I wasn't feeling well either.
We went and looked at a SAAB Turbo for Tyler last night. That guy must of been on crack because I am no Mechanic but I sure knows what a slipping transmision sounds like!
SHerri- congrats on the BM. I amazed that 10 days on Ice you could've ever had one. Now hopefully the next stage progresses a little faster. Fingers crossed.
Tracy- I am still recouperating myself. CHICAGO AND THIS COLD. I have been trying to drown it with vitamins.I sur wish though I would have felt better so I could've been alittle funner.
Need to get checkin' my bank account, still waiting on my money from the hotel!
Chris, I will send Terry over tonight w/ you MONEY! Sorry I ahve been out of it this week.
hugs and kisses shanna

You still have to catch the output??? Shame the nurses dont understand how far you have come and what you have been living thru the last couple years.. I know when I had my WLS I had a night nurse Kathy I loved she was the best!! It is great when you get a nurse that helps the recovery insteaD OF HINDERING IT..
Be well and follow orders.. even if it is stinky soft foods for a while... worth the wait to get healthy!!

Sherri...congrats on the potty time!!!
Shanna...hope your cold gets better and you get on the road to recovery!
Today is gonna be an interesting one for me...I am off to my first cardiac rehab "workout" this afternoon....hopefully they won't kill me!!! LOL!!!
I go see my cardiologist tomorrow to see if he thinks I'm strong enough for my WLS on 07/10/09. I want to get it done and over with, but only if he and Dr. Jones feels that I am physically ready for it....awwwwwwwwwww...so the saga continues. Still debating btwn RNY and Lap Band, but I will know more when I speak with Dr. Solerno and Dr. Jones. I am concerned with malsorption issues of RNY considering my heart is on the mends (hey!!! that sounds like a song!!! LOL) and I need all of the protein I can get to heal me. I have tried to do research on WLS so soon after OHS, and I can't find much. BUT!!! I did find some info about malsorption issues causing WLS patients to have to have pacemakers inserted into their bodies....OK!!! I have to admit....that kinda scared me!!! I really don't wanna take the risk considering the issues I already have. Until I hear from the Drs. I am leaning toward Lap Band. These are serious and very difficult decisions and overwhelming to say the least! But in the end, I have to do what is best and safest for me.
One of my OH friends was doing a bike ride to promote heart attack and stroke awareness and she rode in my honor...they raised $5500!!!! I am soooooooooo proud of her!!! She did an AMAZING job!!! and for such a great cause!!!
Welp Melissa!!! I feel your pain girlie..I will let you know how my "workout" went when I get back....good luck sweetie!!!! .i hope your trainer is hawwwwwwwwwwt!!!!
Tracy!!! Be good and don't let 'em catch on the puter checking OH!!! LOL
have a GREAT thursday everyone
hugs and much love
