Vacation & Drinking
Okay, everyone I have a question for everyone, I am taking my first vacation since I had my surgery last year, I am going to Texas for my family reunion and all my family will be there. The question that I have is, would be okay, if I had a couple of drinks with them, would it hurt my band?
I know a lot of you have had the RNY, so I am not sure anyone can answer this here, but I thought I would ask.

Obviously, we are advised not to drink (RNYers). However, I know many who are a few years out that are able to do so with little to no consequence. I would ask your question on the band forum. Also, this is my one suggestion...I would try a few drinks in the comfort of your own home before you drink out in public. This way if it makes you sick you aren't somewhere you can't deal with it.
Thanks Ladies,
I don't drink that much, heck the last time I had any type of drink was last year at the Family reunion, I haven't been much of a drinker since my children where born about 22 years ago, but every now and then, I might want a glass of wine or something.
Like I said haven't been much of drinker since the kids where born and it seems like the only time I have a drink or two is at the family reunion when where just sitting around Bull SH&*ing, you know catching up on what is going on in everyone's life.
I see this side of my family once a year and before about 5 or 6 years ago, I hadn't seen them since I was a little girl gowning up.
We all get along great.
Thanks to everyone on this post, even through we all have different surgery's, I think we are all going through the same thing just a little different that's all.
Thanks again.
