Back from Shakamak!

Hi all! I hope everyone who went to Chicago last weekend had a good time! We were on our summer camping vacation at Shakamak. We had never been there before, even though it's so close to Terre Haute. We had campfires, fishing, and horseback riding. It was a good time. We were even close enough though that I came into town for church on Sunday, though. I did indulge in smores on Saturday night. I had two, and learned my lesson later that night. Smores and RNY don't mix well! I woke up crampy and had to basically run to the facilities! At least I can laugh about it now, since I did make it in time.

Got home today, and picked up my dog from being boarded at the vet. She was so glad to see me! Poor pup missed us. I made up to her by getting her two flame-broiled burger patties from BK. She was pretty pleased with that.

Linda I am so glad you had a good time on your vacation. I tried smores last fall and will never have them again. I was so glad I was near a potty! Jana

Sounds like you had a good time! We bought a used camper last year and take it to Rockville Lake to camp. Can't wait to be able to go this year.
It was good to see you at Sears. I know you were busy and we stopped back by on our way out but, missed ya.

I'm a year out and I can do maybe a few bites of smores but then I stop. We love camping too but often go ourselves as no one else (except my youngest daughter and her family) in our family likes camping.
Glad you had fun, we went to Spring Mill State Park last weekend and that was a disaster since our awning got messed up due to the storm.
