Day 1 of 5 day pouch test
Deb, Paula are you ready for some fun?? I'm excited to give this a try but am sure by day 2, I'll be ready for food! ;o)
Day 1: Liquid proteins: Low carb protein shakes, broth, clear or cream soups, sugar free gelatin and pudding. You can have as many low carb protein shakes as you like to satisfy hunger or cravings. In addition, drink at least six 8 ounce glasses of water each day. The purpose of all the liquids is to break any snacking, grazing, or processes carb habits (which I'm bad about). In addition, the liquids will work to cleanse your system and prepare you for the following 3 days (so don't be too far from a bathroom during this time!)
We may experience some carb withdrawl symptoms such as headache, dizziness, or cramping. Eat a small piece of melon or orange if this occurs.
Also if you feel nauseated, try sipping some freshly brewed warm green tea.

Deb, I need to know what is in a Cinnamon Roll protein shake, sounds yummy! So far I've had lots of water, 2 nectar protein shakes, a SF pudding at lunch time and am eating a SF jello right now. I thought by day 2 I'd be craving food? WRONG, I'm seriously craving something carby now. Guess this is why I'm doing this huh? I did go workout tonight and tomorrow morning I have a trainer appt.
