cardiologist

I had my pre op testing done a few days ago - and now I have to go see a cardiologist? Whats up with that.

And can I just vent for a second? The person that called from Dr. Gupta's office didn't know why I had to see a cardiologist and initially told me it was because they didnt know my age? Yeah, right. I dont think so.  Then she tells me that I have to be available for WHENEVER they can see me, regardless of if I have to work.  Um, sorry, but I have a job, and have to be there.  So finally she gets the appt set up and assures me there is nothing special I need to do.  I called the cardiologists office  to see how long the tests would take and I am not supposed to eat for 4 hours, no caffeine, and im supposed to bring walking shoes....um hello those are important things to know!! So, im not happy.

I know they just have my well being in mind, but its so annoying.

I agree that it is frustrating. It just seems like sometimes the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I have learned in my (almost) 48 years that I have to check everything out for myself. That seems to be what you are doing too. Like you said, they mean well but so many just do their work and not their actual jobs. St V's is an amazing place and I just love everyone there. I never had any problems and I'm sorry you have. Just be assertive and remember you pay them so ask for what you want and what you need. It sounds like you are getting close. I bet your excited. Everything will be fine after you jump through a few hoops!
Good Luck!!
Be Well  : )

Jamie...
sounds like to me you're going to go in for a stress test...
you'll have to "do your time" on the treadmill...
trust me...
it will all work out the way it's suppose to...
have faith in the dr's decisions and you'll be OK!!
i know it's aggravating when you get some smart a$$ person to call you and not give you the full story and instructions....
don't dwell on it...
it's only one short moment in your life...
my "treadmill" time...saved my life!!!
they're lookin out for yas sweetie!!!
hugs and much love

Grumpy moods are allowed, but only for 24 hours. So be happy this morning! ;o)

I'm sure it will all work out fine, but I totally understand your frustration. I've been there and done that with my surgeon's office and scheduling issues too. Hang in there.
