Dr.Gupta-St. Vincents

Hello, I got a letter in the mail about Dr. Gupta is leaving her practice.  I have to pick between the other doctors.  I really hate to hear this because I think she is a wonderful doctor and I just love her.  Just curious if anyone knows what happened and any suggestions on the other doctors there.  Thanks for your help.

Is she going somewhere you can follow her?

She probably wouldn't be allowed to tell us that.  But I certainly would love to know.  I adore her and hate to have to pick another doc.  I dont have a clue which one I would want to see.  I would also like the good, the bad, and the  ugly on the other choices.  Please share with us what you love or hate about your doc in the offices with Dr. Gupta... please!!!

I got the same letter and freaked out!  I love Dr. Gupta, she saved my life! 

I met Dr. Diaz and Dr. Cacucci as on call doctors when I was in the hospital and they seemed nice but I want Dr. Gupta.  I will be very interested to hear what others have to say about the other docs.

WOW! I am Dr. Gupta's pt. I hadn't heard she was leaving. Maybe I will get a letter Too! I really liked her. My Dght. had Dr. Evanston and liked him plus he is sooooo cute. Maybe I will pick him for the eye candy! Wendy

Wendy, it stinks that you all are finding yourself having to pick a new doc. But I can tell you from experience, the docs in the other groups at St. V's will not take on each other's patients. They have a "pact" that they do not take each other's patients. I think you all will have to pick someone who is in Dr. Gupta's office. Good luck.

Dr. Evanson is defiantely EYE CANDY... My mom and I both had him, and I have referred a few others to him. He went out of his way to help me out when I had issues to deal with.

Just my opinion.

I hadn't gotten my letter yet. It's probably sitting on the counter at home. I plan on asking her about it when she comes in to see me this morning.

Dr. Gupta knows my insides better...than my dentist knows my teeth. The next runner up there though is Dr. Cacucci. She not only had done a few of my scopes but was the one who operated on my and had to make the decision to put me in a coma. She also did two of the follow-up surgeries while I was in the coma.. Dr. Gupta was out of town then and had returned in time to do the last two surgeries.

Dr. Diaz was the on-call doctor when I was released. I wasn't that crazy about him. Dr. Jones...while very sweet, is also very busy. With my medical issues, I need a surgeon who is available.

If I learn more of what's going on with Dr. Gupta, I'll let you know!

Thanks for asking this.  My doctor is Gupta and my surgery was just 3/25/09 - so I need to get with someone else.  I attend a support group that meets in Fort Wayne and I will ask around to see what the others think about their surgeons.

I really like Dr. Gupta and am sorry that she is leaving.
