6 month dr supervised diet

hello everyone. i was just wondering if anyone who had to do a 6 month physiciain supervised diet for insurance approval ever went to Dr Gomez at Carmel St Vs.  i have an appt with her on wed. jus curious what anyone's thoughts are on her and what diet i will be doing. i know  i will be weighed every month but thats all i kno so far. thank youu

Sorry, I went to my family doctor in Terre Haute. My anthem accepted that. I would advise you to talk to the insurance and find out specifically what has to be covered each month. For my insurance, it wouldn't have done to just get weighed and talk about diet, he had to document we discussed excercise too.

first time i've "seen" ya.
welcome to the board....
for me i was suppose to do EIGHTEEN months of supervised weight visits...but thank goodness there is a state mandate that only requires six months...
like Linda....i did my supervised visits w/ my pcp here in Peru...insurance accepted with no problems....
you can prolly go to your pcp...doesnt hurt to ask your ins. co

My daughter is just finishing her 6 month Dr. supervised with Dr. Gomez.  I have not met her but my daughter likes her.  I just think that it is a formality to get insurance to approve.  I really don't know of anything specific that she had to do in the past 6 mnths except write down what she eats.
