A Wow Moment!!

I took my 15 y.o. granddaughter to Methodist Hospital to get her TB test done as she is volunteering at Riley Hospital this summer.  She wants to be a pediatric nurse.  She's a sophomore in the fall.

Anyway, her mom, my daughter, signed all the forms and sent with us saying I had permission to see that she had the test, but it didn't give my relationship. 

The young nurse asked if I was her aunt - I said no - I'm her grandmother!  Her jaw dropped, her eyes got big, and she literally dropped her pen!  She said NO WAY!  I said YES, WAY! 

I wanted to give her a kiss, but my granddaughter called me a weirdo...  LOL

All of a sudden people think I'm much younger than I am... works for me!!  Yippee!!  Especially since I'll be 54 on my next birthday....

LOL! That is funny and a good WOW moment for you. Congrats on the compliment. I have a 15 year old who acts like a 5 year old sometimes when we still go out shopping. All I have to do to get her to straighten up and stop pestering me is to start dancing. OMG you would think I had removed my clothes. She gets so embarressed and she always thinks I'm a weirdo. LOL  We are very close though and I am glad that she has my sense of humor.

The mother of my grandkids (15, 13, 10) will be 35 on her next birthday!

 I will be 54 my next birthday and MY baby is 30!!! We have probably crossed paths sometime in Walmart or Meijers... How cool is that??

I would have never guessed that you are 54..almost.  LOL  You look so much younger than that!  You are one hot mama!!!!!!!  I am 56 and my baby is now 28 and my oldest is 31.  But I don't have any grandkids yet!!!!!  I should be proud of them for that since my youngest just got married in Jan. and my other son is single. 

I'm so happy for you.  You are a knockout.  I'll never forget when my youngest son told me that I was really HOT for a mom!  And I've also had comments from  men that couldn't believe BOTH my sons were college grads cause they thought I was way too young to have kids already thru college. 

These are just one of many rewards of having our WLS!
