Thank God he's okay. That is a particularly dangerous area. I'm from that part of the state and am familiar with the area. I'm so glad that God keeps angels on guard all around our babies.

Looking at the car, it is just amazing that Ty walked away from that with just minor scratches. Any idea what caused the crash?

He said he over corrected off the left handside and then overcorrected again from the right. That part of the road is very steep off the side, It goes straight down.
Annette, It was at mile marker 121, New castle is Mile Marker 123. Flying Jay exit. I know we usually fly through that area because it splits off from the other side of the road and it is full of trees. No More!!!!

he's a very lucky kid!!!
we had the same situation exactly a yr ago and it didnt turn out so well..son was in hosptial/rehab for nearly 2 months and a wheelchair for 4 months...so thank your lucky stars your son faired as well as he did!!!
he'll be leary for quite a while...it's been a yr and Dakota is still a little gunshy
glad he's OK

OMG Shanna! It is absolutely amazing that he walked away from that!! It gave me cold chills - reminded me of my daughter's accident 3 years ago - we got a call from her, hysterical. She, her husband, and all 3 kids were leaving Denny's on Ky Ave, and were T-boned by an idiot with no insurance.
