IMO, Dr. Bergman and Dr. Grasse are tops. Dr. Bergman is my surgeon and I absolutely love her. She & Dr. Grasse are in the same office together and they have a wonderful staff. They WILL try to get the insurance to cover tummy tucks and are pretty successful at it. Other surgeons (Dr. Turkle) won't bother..and her prices are about double as Dr. B's.

Dr. B's # is 317-581-0001. If you go there, tell her Sherri Johnson referred you there..please. I'm hoping to get a pretty good discount when I'm able to get my girls done.

Sherri,

Wanted you to know I called and made my appt. for May 2010.  She said no use in coming in until closer to time to have it done.  But thinking I may move it up a tad....I want it done the first part of June and want them to have time to run it through insurance.  Thanks!!!!

Thanks Sherri.  I would love if the insurance covered it!

Dr. Chris Jones from Sando, Jones, and Aker did all my PS.  That was in 2001 and 2002 and my incision lines look like tiny, thin pencil lines. Some gals couldn't even find them on me.   I have seen him more recently at no charge to me.  His work is superb IMHO.  They also will try to get your tummy tuck paid by insurance.  MY TT was covered but all my other stuff wasn't.  You just need to have the documentation that you've had lots of intertrigo....skin rashes and infections, from the skin folds hanging down and drooping.  Which I had badly.  They took photographs of it and sent it to my insurance and I had records from other doctors too that attempted to treat it.  Not realizing that it would someday help me get the TT paid for.

Dr. Jones has a very good bedside manner and understand the needs of WLS patients.  His wife, Dr. Rosie Jones, does WLS.

Please let them know that I referred you to him.  Just like Sherri said, many places offer incentives for repeat business.  My full name is Kathy Evans, or Kathleen.

Be careful and take your time in researching this.  I've seen some really bad results from other surgeons.  People go to Mexico and yada yada.  You can't get good follow up care when you go out of state.  And that's important with PS.  This is major surgery just like WLS and there are risks with this as well, just like with WLS.  Cheaper is not necessarily better when it comes to having them alter our bodies for the rest of our life.  I consider him not cheap but not the most expensive either.  And the whole office staff is super.  And you can have more than 1 thing done in one surgery....within reason like arms and breasts at the same time, and request 2 doctors to cut down on amt of time you spend in surgery and under anthesetic and they don't charge you extra for the extra surgeon.   Not many will do that for you.  TT is pretty extensive and invasive to do with anything else.  I was in surgery for over 7 hours with arms & breast PS with only Dr. Jones working on me. But you will love the results.

Good luck in your exploration.  PM me if you have any questions.

Just another vote for Dr Grasee.  I had a consult with her on Tuesday for a panniculectomy when Dr Evanson repairs my hernia, and she thinks I've got a good chance of being approved by insurance.  I really felt like she listened to me and what I want, has a great attitude, and great office staff!

Me too!! And yep, I've met you at the Kokomo support group meetings...it's been a while since I was there, I think I went in February & March, then got busy again with the girls and their schedules.  You are such an inspiration!!
