Peggy, I don't think you will bleed like a stuffed pig, because I'm sure that Pam had a lot of blood thinners following her surgery. Just make sure whoever pulls your line, holds pressure for a while. You'll do great. They put my PICC line in in about 20 minutes and I left the hospital. I'm sure you won't be expected to stay over night.

Peggy I went home right after they put my line in then came back the next day for surgery.
