Thanks for any info.

I've had PICC lines and they're uncomfortable but I wouldn't really say that they're painful.

Peggy,

Robert Gray just had surgery on May 19th and had to have a picc line the day before his surgery.  His surgeon is Dr. Huse too.  You might chat him up he's a great guy !!!!  I wish you great success !!!!

Peggy Dr. Huse orderd a picc line for me the day before surgery and it didnt hurt at all, they numb your arm and you dont feel a thing,  Even when your ready to go home and they take it out you feel nothing. It takes about 10 minutes to prep you and 5 minutes to insert it.

Peggy, PICC line isn't a big deal. Just make sure they numb you first.  Are they just doing this prior to surgery? It's will be great because they will be able to draw your blood from it and everything!

I had a PICC line and TPN because of some complications after my surgery that made me unable to eat. The TPN backpack was a black backpack that carried my TPN bag and pump. Having surgery with Evanson does not mean you will need a PICC line.

Thanks everyone, I am feeling a little better about this.  I remember hearing Melissa say she had one.

Robert, when Dr Huse had your put in did they keep you in the hospital that day or did you get to go home and come back the next day for the surgery.  I am wanting to know how to prepare, and Dr Huse office is closed right now.  I forgot they close at 3 on Fridays.

Surgery Sis leave it to you to say it feels kewl coming out lol, hopefully I do not bled like a stuffed pig.  I don't like the site of blood, especially my own.

Thanks Jaime for all the support, this is an awesome bunch of people in this OH family.

Guess I better get back to work and get something cleared from my desk before 5, I am going home to work in the yard, and hopefully get all the mowing and trimming and flowers beds clean out.

Love you all

Hugs
