Around 4-6 mos post op (If I remember right) I was told I could have snack bars like South Beach Living, and those are great!! I'm now over a year out, and keep SBL snack and meal bars on hand all the time.  The meal bars are around 19 grams of protein and about 220 calories.  The snack bars are only 100-110 calories and 10-12 grams of protein.  My faves are cranberry almond protein snack bars, the cinnamon raisin protein snack bars, and the maple nut protein snack bars.

I am with Amy, I like the south beach bars the best.  Just read the labels. I too wanted something with fruit ( like  a nutra grain bar) but they are loaded with sugar.

Just read the labels carefully and remember the golden rule.....if there is sugar in the first four ingrediants then its not for us.

P.S. Amy you look awesome!!!!
