Does anyone know where to find financial help?

I went through the whole process to qualify for bariatric 5 or 6 years ago.  I have sleep apnea and was definatly a good candidate, so of course, my insurance said 'no way.'  I could not afford it on my own.  Here I am at 31 years old, bigger than ever with a bad knee on top of it - I lost my job and insurance.  I have a hard time walking sometimes, and I feel that this is hurting me in my job search.  It's difficult enough to get hired when you're healthy these days.  I hope there is some sort of financial aid for people in my position.  I just don't know where to even start.  If anyone has any helpful information to pass along, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you've got health problems, and low income, try applying for medicaid. Or if you can make a good justification that you need this to be able to work, you can try vocational rehabilitation, another state agency.
