Update on me...sorry I'm MIA
Hi everyone... guess I have avoiding the boards and not really feeling like I fit in anywhere. I am 9 mos out, down 79 lbs and am 8 weeks pg.
Of course I'm not trying to lose at this point and although I am very happy to be pregnant, I feel like a failure at the WLS aspect. I still have 35 lbs to lose and I hope someday I can. I haven't seen the scale move since Feb.
This pg is a blessing and I'm thrilled just a little torn at the same time...
and a beautiful little girl born 12/11/09 post-op

33 lbs lost prior to surgery!
Please don't feel like you don't fit in. I have thought of you often lately and wondered how you're doing. It is great to hear from you.
It sounds like a double blessing to me....79 lbs lost - wow - and now a baby! How much better does it get?!!!! I am just so happy for you.
How are you feeling?
Please keep us updated. If you don't care to post, please PM me, I would love to keep up with you.
Hugs,
~Bev
You are far from a failure at WLS. These little joys in life happens. Go with the flow. We try to say that the difference between pre-op and post-op is that pre-op, we lived to eat and post-op, we eat to live. Eat so that your baby and you can live and thrive. After you have your bamino, your pouch will still be there and can easily get back into the swing of things. Just make sure you eat several small meals instead of three big ones. You need the calories..but your pouch doesn't need 12 oz at a time.
Please don't feel like you are the first this has happened to. You aren't. Darrah moved and I think she's on the Texas board now. She would had been a good one for you to talk with. She now has two blessings. Jodi had Quin post-op but she had the band so her situation is a little different.

First you are not a failure!!!! Think of the good things you have done. One being the new baby you are going to have. I am not pregnant but I am with you on the lay off. My husband will be getting layed off between end of July and Aug 14th. We are moving out of our house into a smaller one. We are having to let our house go back. I know in a way this is a blessing but its really hard to explain to people and to our children. This is the only house they have ever known!
Good luck to you!

I lost a job when I got pregnant for Tyler. Come to find out a short time later, I had to be on bedrest the entire pregnancy. So If I would have been working, I would have possibly lost my son, who by the way, is one of the brightest spots in my life.
You already know this PG is going to be a challenge to learn best how to keep yourself and the baby healthy. So maybe, being laid off was for the better so you can rest and concentrate on doing what needs to be done. I know its tough. But it also may just be what you needed right now.
I sure wish I could hug you. I have been wondering and worrying about you too. Please dont think you dont fit in. You certainly do. And you have all of us here who are supporting you and praying for you. We cant wait to see your healthy beautiful baby.
When are you due and have you thought about if you want a girl this time? (Im excited for you)
Huge hugs,
Tracy
