Wendy,
I make up my own mix. I use the cheap stuff at Wal-mart. It's ~$30 for 5 lbs of the chocolate whey protein powder. To it, I add a box of powder milk (the size that makes 32 qts), a whole can of sugar-free hot chocolate mix, 2 jars of decaf coffee crystals. I mix that up really good and then put in a storage container. To mix it, I put 3 heaping cups of mix into a pitcher. I add 4 cups of COLD water and mix very well. If you try to add ho****er to the mix, it clumps up and you won't like it. I then add ~2 cups of skim milk. After mixing, I pour this into a 1 gallon milk jug. I add enough skim milk to fill up the jug, cap & shake well. My sil loves to drink it cold. I prefer to microwave it so that it's like a latte. I don't remember off-hand what the nutritional value is but it's pretty low in calories and high in protein. If you don't like coffee, you can always omit that. I think it's too sweet without the coffee myself. Just be sure to use decaf. I add the hot chocolate mix & powder milk to make it a little more smoother...and a little less after-taste.
Sometimes, you just gotta experiment with flavors to find the one that's good for you. Just be sure to avoid caffiene, fat, and sugar as much as possible. If you have time to make smoothies (I don't have the time or patience), then you can add powder mix, skim mil**** and fruit to your blender and have a yummy treat. If you want more control over how much chocolatey flavor there is, you can add flavorless protein mix, cocoa, and splenda. Or..you can get some Divinci sugar free flavoring and add it to your blender concoction. Shanna could probably give you some excellent suggestions on smoothie making.
Instead of looking at is as something you have to do, look at it as a work of art for your belly. I'm going on 5 years post-op and I doubt I will ever completely get away from protein drinks.

Wendy,
You can go to Fitday.com to figure out the nutritional value for the product you use. As long as you use skim milk, powder milk, decaf coffee, and Wal-Mart's powder..in the portions I use, it'll be really close to 132 cal, 17 g protein, 1 g fat, and 13 g carb per 8 oz of mixed up drink. If you wanted to experiment with some of the ones Johnna posted or use a different powder/omit the powder milk/etc, then I'd suggest going to Fitday.com so you can get an idea of how much protein you're getting per serving. They have an online version which is free as well as a version to purchase. I have the purchased one so if you can't get something to calculate for you, email the label info to me ([email protected]) and the first chance I have, I'll enter your info in and let you know what the label would read.

I found these the other day online. I haven't gotten the chance to look them over much but they look good.
From Cleopatra_Nik I hope this document is helpful in bringing more joy to your protein shake experiences. While the milk is boiling, combine whey and sweetener with enough room temperature water to make it into a thick paste. Once milk is ready, add milk to the protein mixture, then coffee. Stir vigorously. You can make it a flavored latte by adding various SF syrups. I like: SF hazelnut, SF vanilla Protein hot cocoa: 8 oz. + 4 oz. water, 1 packet Diet Swiss Miss (25 calorie kind), 1 tbsp your favorite SF syrup While waiting for your 8 oz. of water to boil, combine whey, cocoa mix, syrup and 4 oz. room temperature water in a cup until a smooth paste forms. Add boiling water and stir vigorously. Top with SF or FF whipped cream or SF marshmallows. Drinks without protein Frozen hot chocolate - 8 oz. water, 1-25 calorie Diet Swiss Miss packet, 2 tsp non-dairy creamer, 2 tbsp SF Torani chocolate syrup, 5-6 ice cubes, 2 tbsp fat free whipped cream. Pu****er, cocoa mix, creamer, syrup and ice in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour in a glass and top with whipped cream. 60 calories. Desserts Reese cup protein pudding - 1 SF chocolate pudding cup, 1 tbsp PB2 (powdered peanut butter), 1/2 scoop chocolate whey. Mix all together in a bowl and top with whipped cream. Peanut Butter yogurt - 1/2 c. greek style yogurt (Oikos, Chobani, Fage), 2 tbsp PB2 (powdered peanuts), 2-3 packets Splenda, 1 tbsp Torani SF Peanut Butter syrup. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and serve. To add fiber add 1/4 c. Fiber One original cereal to top. Not my ideas but still very good: Eggface's Pistachio Banana: milk, 1 scoop vanilla whey, 1 tbsp SF vanilla syrup, 1/2 banana, 1 tbsp SF FF pistachio pudding mix (I personally like this better minus the banana) Pam T.'s Protein Hot Chai Mix 6 scoops vanilla protein powder 1.5 cups non-fat powdered milk 3/4 cup instant unsweet tea mix 3/4 cup Splenda 1T. chai spice mix (or use half cinnamon and half ground ginger) 1t. ground cloves 1t. cardamon (original recipe calls for this, but I don't have any, so skipped it) Mix all dry ingredients in bowl until well blended. Add 1/2 cup of mixture to mug and add either splash of cold milk or water -- stir to create smooth paste (so you don't get lumpy protein powder). Add 8oz ho****er and mix well. You can top with Light Redi Whip and a sprinkle of chai spice or drink it naked. (The drink is naked, not you.) Recipe makes 7 half-cup servings. Calculation below is without the "splash of milk" when you're mixing the tea. If you use RediWhip -- it adds about 20 calories.
