Happy Mothers Day!!
Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers here on the OH IN borad!! I am up and at em early today, have to wor****il noon. We will head up to Indy after work to see my MIL. My oldest son called last night and will meet us over there. I haven't gotten anything for my mom yet, she is easy to please though so I will pick something up on my way home from work.
Thats about it for my plan's today.

33 lbs lost prior to surgery!
My mom was pretty easy to please too... I used to buy her a couple flats of flowers to plant around her home...Gosh I wish she were still around....You have a special day too..
I am up early too but I am going to go back to bed real soon and grab a few more hours sleep before church..then Scott, Mommy Lissa and the girls will be here... Melissa is making Manicotti..

Happy mothers day to you both, and to all the other moms on here (and dads that do dual duty).
Nothing's planned for today to my knowledge. I have to clean house and do laundry. With the infection that set in after the shingles, I can't go up and see my Mom in the nursing home, so I'll call her.
Daughter is out of state at a bowling tournament, and son has plans with a friend. Hubby will go see his Mom, so I will have an empty house and peace and quiet. Wait a minute - that's a pretty good Mother's Day gift for me!! LOL

Linda Kay, I know what you mean about missing your mom. I miss mine so much and this is one of the hardest days for me. I went her grave the other day and it still tears me up every time. Just dont know how to get by some days. But she watches over me and keeps me going. She was an amazing woman.
I got a new baby for mother's day! Jess and Brandon got me a new Minpin mix puppy. He is adorable and I named him Toby. I don't have huge plans. I am going to church and then back to the house for a day of hanging out with my two youngest. I am probably going to go for a walk with them and take the dogs.

Good morning all!
Between James (a young friend of the family), Bill, and myself, we got all of the yard work done yesterday. Bill & I couldn't believe it. All the beds were weeded/turned over, plants planted, seeds sewn, tree pruned, rose beds mulched and the bags/bundles of weeds/branches taken to the road of tomorrow's pick-up. Besides paying him, we also took James to Lincoln Square for dinner.
Today....I am feeling all that I did! I doubt I do ANYTHING today! LOL! Well...I am thinking about fixing me a batch of my sf rice crispie treats. I had thought about bring Myranda home with us last night. I'm glad I didn't do that. I just don't think my body couldn't handle an energetic 5 yr old right now. Well..she'll be 5 on the 14th. It's funny. Her birthday is close to mine (20th). And Shyanne (Shellie's daughter) has her birthday on Sept. 15th...and Bill is the 12th. The grandsons & my son..their birthdays are ~ a month a part from each others (Dec. 14th to Feb. 10th.).but closer to each other's than our gurls or sil (Shellie, Tiffany, and Rod's is all in June).
I don't know if I'll see Tiffany today or not. I'd love to..but I also hope she gets to spend some Mommy & me time with her kids. I know she misses that when she has to work alot. I definately probably won't see Jay..my problem child. He's 26 and wants to be treated like a man but wants everyone to support him like he's 16 instead. We all finally banded together to say 'no'. As his 'Mommy', it's hard to do that...but as his 'Mom' and wanting him to become a mature, responsible man, it's something that has to be done. So..this Mother's Day saddens me because of of my kids doesn't think I love him. I just hope someday he looks upon this time and realizes how very much I do.
I hope you all have a wonderful day...and Mom's...and Dad's who are pulling double duty...have an extra special day!

I get them at PerfectlySweet.com. BariatricEating.com also has them but there's are larger and doesn't melt as well...but their's are perfect for roasting on a campfire for smores!
I also get sf dark chocolate buttons that I melt to pour over the top of the crispie treats. See my profile for the recipe. Yummy! And they stay for for a VERY long time in the fridge! I cut the bars up & wrap in seran wrap and then take one out whenever I want a munchie.

I woke up to breakfast fixed by Andy and Chrissy(her mom dropped her off this morning) and a rose ,Joey bought me a new outfit (any single girls out there i think he is a good catch).
We are going to dinner at Neils families rest this afternoon for his mom.Other than that its a normal day.
Linda and Tracy i have issues with my mom and as i read about how much you all miss you mom i realize there comes a time to forgive and forget and to love them while you can,thank you .

I was sittiing here and Lucas just came in and said mom i dont have any money to buy you anything and i brought you 3 baby kittens yesterday ,but i went around the yard til i found these flowers i hope they are okay,melted my heart....
I remember when they made all the stuff from school i cried everytime they made me something.

Happy Mothers Day to all! We arrived at my sisters yesterday evening, and have enjoyed spending time with them!
It is a bitter-sweet Mothers Day for us. My mother is resting comfortably now. I just spoke with the nurse at the nursing home. That doesn't make it any easier, but it is her wishes.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day today. We are going to cross the border after while, and spend the day in Canada. We always enjoy going over there. The girls have so much fun seeing the different things they have there.

I am with you Linda and Tracy, I miss my Mom so much. She was very easy to please, she never wanted anything expensive or exgravant. Simple, I know she is in a better place then we are, but it is still hard.
We were going to take my MIL and FIL out to dinner tonight, but Dad has came down with a cold and is in bed, so it looks like Steven and I. I think Kyle our son may join us, not for sure yet.
I have been working on homework this weekend, I got my servant leadership paper rewritten, and I have a rough draft/powerpoint to have done by 1 today for study group.
We went to the new Meiers we have here in Marion yesterday and I bought some new clothes, they have a sale that you buy one item get the second at 50% off. I got some new shorts, tops, and capri. Happy Mother's Day to me. That is probably all I will get, I normally do not even get a Happy Mother's Day from Steven. MEN. LOL.
Lisa, don't waste any time, not sure what has happen between you and your mother, but if anyway dont let anymore time go by, you never lnow when they may not be here. Hugs
