ugh - I feel awful

My shingles blistered and scabbed over. Thought I was done. Now I am running a low grade fever off and on, really nasty headache, and large purplish bumps almost like cysts just above right breast, under left breast, and on my ankle.

My PCP is on vacation. My boss is afraid I'm contagious, so I left early yesterday and stayed home today. I have to go to work tomorrow though, and will have to work Saturday as well as my boss can't.

I called my doctor's office yesterday - they called me back this morning and said that the doctor said if my fever got high to go to the ER to be evaluated for cellulitis. I really don't think that's it, as it doesn't look like the pictures I saw for cellulitis. I just wish this would go away, whatever it is!! Ugh....

I am sorry you are having such a miserable time. I had shingles once and it was miserable. I hope they figure out what your new symptoms are about. Feel better.

Poor Christie!!! It's probably just a bad case of shingles and those things stick around awhile. you are going to be miserable at work. I'm so sorry you are feeling bad and wish I could take away the pain.

Ok Christie, get rid of the shingles girl!!! I am the youngest of 8 and all of them had the chicken pox before I was born. And I never got them with my own kids... so I sure dont want to get them now!!!

We need to be able to party like it's 1999 in Chicago! Somehow, Benedryl and calamine lotion dont sound fun. LOL
