Prayers needed please

I had a meeting with the nursing home where my mother is a resident yesterday afternoon.  The nurses and her doctor have suggested that my mother has a g-tube for feeding put in place.  The worry is that she may not make it thru surgery to place the tube in.  The nurses have been able to feed her using a spoon and pudding consistency foods, and have said they will continue to feed her this way until we return from MI. After we return, we will sit down again with the doctor and go over the rest of the options.
Please pray for my mother.......and for me, as I am her only child, and her sole guardian.  I want to do what is right for her, so this is going to be very hard.
Thanks.

Lachelle,
I can't imagine having to make such a decision,  but know that God is with you and that he will guide you through.  I will keep your mother and your family in my prayers.  Know that when God calls her it will not be because of any decisions that you have made but when it is her time to be with Him.  Keep us informed as we do care.

Lachelle,  I am very close with my mother and her health is not good. In fact during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays we struggled in and out of the hospital with her. Wow, it is tough when its MOM.  I like what Kim said. You just need to make the best decision for her and her doctor will help you do that. Take time and make your decision and it sounds like she is getting good medical care.
Bless your heart... my prayers are with your mother and you and your whole family.
Take care sweetie.

Lachelle, ask the doctors about having the feeding tube placed via endoscopy. This way, they just basically sedate her really well, it's not general anesthesia. It would be less risky.
