WELL THE TIME IS WINDING DOWN 5&1/2 DAYS LEFT (next Tues.@10am)...I'M STARTING TO WORRY ABOUT IT MORE NOW. I KNOW I'LL GET THROUGH IT OK BUT I'M NOT USED TO ALL THE WORRY I GUESS I JUST NEED TO GET A LITTLE MORE BUSY...THERE'S A PHRASE THAT I USE ONCE IN AWHILE AND THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO USE IT...........--IF YOU THINK YOU CAN  ""YOU CAN""............--IF YOU THINK YOU CAN'T  "" YOU CAN'T""..........WITH THIS AND FRIENDS & FAMILY I BELIEVE I'LL MAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I worried alot before and right up to surgery, but all went well and I was taken very good care of from the time I arrived until the time I was discharged.  I have so much more energy now and I'm so happy.  It's OK and perfectly normal to be nervous but everything will be just fine.  And know we are here for you if you have any questions.  Good luck and we will be praying for you !!!

Its perfectly acceptable if not expected to have some anxiety when facing this or any surgery.  You will be ok and in no time at all will be back on here telling us how  much you walked while in the hospital.  Try to keep yourself busy to keep your mind from concentrating on the surgery.  Hang in there!

Worry is good. It shows you are aware and taking things seriously. Those who think this is an easy fix are way off. I am 3 weeks post op and feel great. Just remember everyday gets better and rest when you need to. Be kind to yourself, but do exactly what the dieticans and Doc tell you to do. Best of luck and God speed. Wendy

You will be fine, it's perfectly normal to worry. I had my lap rny march 19th and i was worried as all get out, But everything turned out fine. Just like everyone on here told me it's normal to be worried and excited and going through all kinds of emotions just relax and take it easy i'm sure u will be and do fine.. good luck and god bless.

Mike,

As others have said, it is normal to be nervous and question our decision.  I got a little counciling before my surgery and one thing that he asked me to do  was to focus on what I would be able to do after my surgery.  He even suggested I join a gym before my surgery (I did wait on that for a few months - but I had a plan).  I want to go white water rafting and I hope to do that this summer!!

Good luck,
Barb
