Happy Hump Day!

Well..I never made it to Kroger or WalMart! We ended up having a family thing and we didn't get home until after 8. By the time I got a few things together & got to bed, it was close to 10..so...this morning? I could easily be a sleeping bunny! I was reading a story to the grandkids called Whispering Bunny. Little RJ was sitting on my lap and the other 3 were standing around me. The story was about a very sleepy bunny. By the end of the story, the bunny was sleeping and so was RJ! LOL! I said I had my own 'sleeping bunny'.

I did some walking on my breaks here at work yesterday and by the time the day was done, I had gotten in 5 miles! That felt fantastic! I also went to a book fair here at work. I got some music CD's for me & the grandkids, a cookbook (big surprise, huh?), a how-to book for practically anything, and I got me and Tiff each a copy of the book 'Skinny *****'. It's suppose to be full of slimming advise. I just loved the name of it

I hope you all have a good day!
Sherri

Sherri, you will love the book Skinny *****! It will really make you think about what you put into your mouth!  That book was suggested to us at one of our support group meetings, and now I see why.
Glad you got your walking in.  I spent most of the day yesterday in the car, so I got my miles in sitting down.  I will be doing that again today, I am afraid.  I have to make a quick trip to Frankfort, KY and pick up some important papers.  Gotta love the KY State government.
Nothing more going on today. Have a good day, and take care.
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Good morning all.

Happy Wednesday!

I jus****ched the Biggest Loser from last night.  It was probably my favor episode of all season.  It showed the final four going home for a 30 day challenge at home, in the real world where they have to adapt and use what they learned.  It showed them being very open about the difficulties of facing all the food choices, the pressures, and the emotions.  The trainers gave amazing advise and really made me think about some things in my new life too.  It's kinda cool that they are doing the finale when I am celebrating my 1 year surgiversary this month.  It is kinda like we are in the same spot.  Moving into real life after weight loss this drastic is scary yet amazing.  I can totally relate to this show!

I am going to Greenwood today to see what my tattoo will look like and plan it with Keith.  I am excited for that.  I will let you all know when I get it done.  I wanted to have a tattoo party but I am not sure when I could fit it in.  But I will be sure you get to see the pictures.  I am sooo excited!

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Good mornign to all

Sherri those sleeping bunnies are the best bunnies of all.  I miss not having my grandkids close enough to read to them all the time.  I am going down for a few days this summer, hoping my husband will go with us this time so he can take Arian fishing.

Another busy day here at work, I am planning on going to the gym after work, and then home to finish my paper for tomorrow nights class.

I had an eye appt last night and everything looks good, I was afraid after I had a blood vessel that busted, I was told that my eye was bruised and that is what cause it to busted.  I freaked out, I had never had anything like that happen before.  I was just sitting here at work and a co-worker was asking what was wrong with my eye.  I thought she was joking, because we are always kidding around until she brought me a mirror.

I am looking forward to starting a new bowling league Sunday night.

Well it is after 8 so I guess I better get some work done.  Talk soon

Hugs

Hi friends. Today is a long day for me. I have both gigs today. I was pleased yesterday. I found some cooking and art classes Mikey could take this summer. It will give him an activity to do. He can't do most physical, sporty activities now, because he can't risk re-injuring his neck/head. This will atleast get him out of the house and away from the computer, into something safe for him. He read the brochere and found a couple that looked interesting to him.

I'm just getting ready to plod through another day. As the numbness wears off, and the adrenaline runs out, everything seems more real. Every sight of a little blond-haired girl, every little girl voice reminds me of my Maggie. The aches come more often now, the pains sharper than ever. This isn't the way I always imagined life. I never thought it would be perfect, but not this tragic.

Hello everyone, Just thought I would jump in and start sharing.

I am talking classes to be an RN.  Tomorrow is my last day of clinical and I am so glad.  I need a break.  I decided not to take summer classes.  I want the summer to spend time with my son and brush up on all the things that pased by way to fast in class.  I am also hoping to get a part time job in a hospital.  Haven't heard anything yet.

Sherri I really admire the 5 miles!  My church is doing a biggest loser challenge and this week we are doing a pedometer contest to see who can walk the most.  I am sure not to win.  I have spent most of my time sitting in a class or studying for finals.  I am hoping to get a schedule for walking everyday.

I am making some chicken tortilla soup for a pitch in tomorrow and working on a paper that I have due as well.  I hope everyone has a peaceful day.  This rain is making me sleepy...zzz

Good rainy afternoon to everyone.

Not much going on around here. Looks like Jackson is going to probly need tubes in his ears. Poor kid. Other than that not much else going on. Just bored out of my mind.

Hey Sherri,

Sitting here in my Washington DC hotel room waiting for a co-worker to contact me so we can go out to dinner.  If I don't hear from her in the next hour, I'm going without her.  I want to check out the underground shopping and restaurants.

The kitchen was started on Monday and is really shaping up.  It's going to look fantastic.

We went to our 3 year surgiversary appointment on Monday.  We hadn't seen this surgeon in two years and he said we looked great.  Another surgeon that we saw last year that knew us before surgery saw us in the hallway and said, WOW, a couple skinny things in here today.  Real nice comments coming from surgeons.  I had gained 8 pounds since last years appointment, but he didn't care.

My flight doesn't get back to Indy until after 6 tomorrow night, so it'll be an exhausting day.  At least I can get some sleep tonight since I don't have much to do.  Being on a government computer, I can't access Facebook.  LOL

Take care and see you soon.
