OMG! WOW MOMENT!

Oh My GOSH!   I went for my morning walk this morning and for whatever reason I decided I wanna JOG!  I told Marilyn at my 9 month appt. that I wanna jog again someday.  She said...NOOOO dont do it!  But I really wanted to soo bad.

Guess what?!  I did it and I did it farther than I had set out as my goal.  I thought back to when I came home from surgery.  My first wallk down the block my goal was to make it one full block to the stop sign... I couldnt do it pre-surgery at all!  And I did it my first walk after I came home on May 30, 2008.  It took 15 minutes to get to the sign and back.  (That's just pitiful when I think about it)  But none the less I did it.

This morning I started jogging and I thought... this is like last year when I got home.  I will set my goal to JOG to the stop sign!  I JOGGED RIGHT PAST IT!  Granted I only jogged a bit farther to the dorms but then I walked the campus and Jogged back home!  I feel amazing and like a million and ONE bucks!   I can actually move this body and GET R DONE!  lol

God is so good to me!  He saved my life and is giving it back to me to actually LIVE  and not just exist any more!

How awesome!  Good for you!

I picked up a gorgeous bright green sweater at the clothing exchange.  It's a size 12-14.  I brought it home even though I figured I won't be that size till late summer.  It looks awfully small on the hanger.

Guess what?  I wore it to work yesterday!!!  It fits me!!!!!!!  A 12-14!!!!

Now, on the other hand (end), my Vanderbilt jeans are 18's and getting loose.  I picked up some 18's at the exchange - Chic and Lee Riders.  They are both too small.  Don't you wish that women's clothing manufacturers could standardize their sizes??  Men's jeans do.

Anyway, I am so happy for you girlfriend!  Didn't mean to hijack your thread!!

I have told others about my urge to run after surgery and sometimes they act like I have two heads. I am glad to hear someone else has the same feelings. I can't run far but it is a great feeling. Good for you!
