Just a quick add on to Jamie's note.  All programs are different.  I was only on full liquids for 1 week and then was moved on to pureed foods at week 2 for 3 weeks and refried beans and scrambled egg are on my list of foods that are approved at the pureed stage.  Also, I am to start with 2 oz of food but can progress to no more than 4oz if I am tolerating it well and am not having any pain.  However, we are also told to eat no more or less than 30 minutes for each meal, no matter if you got all 2oz down or not and only 3 times a day. And to eat SLOWLY.

Not to hijack...but as I have very quickly found out through others that went through programs other than mine that they all differ on what is allowed/ isn't allowed and quanitites and just don't want to confuse someone else who may be reading this and gets confused cause their program doesn't say the same thing.

Hi Sabrena, you bring up a very good point and the last thing I wanted to do was confuse anyone.  I did a lil research before I sent the advise and there are so many different doctors/hospitals that do these surgeries.  Autumn, correct me if I'm wrong but from what I read in your profile you had your surgery at St. V's w/ Dr. Evanson.  So I believe we had the same all day nut class (maybe not at the same time but....)  I was just quoting from those wonderful "yellow pages" we St. V's R&Y patients received to inform us of what and what not to eat and do.  We all got the same guidelines more or less.

But good advise Sabrena, for others that read my post and maybe were confused or like you said had a different provider.

Thanks for watching my back !!!!!
