stuck
That kinda happened to me too. I lost a whopping 12 pounds the first week and have lost about 3 a week since then. I even stayed the same or gained on certain days during the week and I was also following protocol to the letter and exercising. I think that what I have noticed is that when I lose a lot quickly then it slows down for awhile, but it doesn't actually stop as I was afraid it would! I've learned to only weigh myself twice a week and that helps a lot because there are normal fluctuations in most peoples weight. You will do great. Your starting weight is so low, I'll bet you'll get to goal in no time. I know it's hard but be patient and weigh yourself less often.
It is very common to have a stall at week 3 and it will last about a week. Hang in there it will start again soon. Just do what you were taught and it will start again. Your bady is just trying to play catch up...

HIGHEST 300 POUNDS!
Sept 07...284lbs.
surgery day 4/16/08...223lbs.
11 months Later...133lbs.
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS 167lbs.
I MY RNY!
I stalled in my second month for three weeks!! Stalls are part of the weight loss. I suggest you keep some sort of diary of your weight loss and more than likely you will see a pattern. Once you know what your pattern is the weight loss stalls are much less scarey, you will come to expect them. My pattern is I lose weight one week out of a month. At nine months out my weight loss has slowed considerabally so at this point I will lose 3 - 5 pounds during one weeks timet and then nothing for a month. Keep your chin up and hang in there, trust the process...it works.

33 lbs lost prior to surgery!
This is normal, your body is in shock for the surgery and the drastic weight lose, sometimes it has to slow down and let your body catch up with all the changes. Keep doing what you are suppose to do and you see the pounds start coming off, also you may want to take your measurements, just because you haven't lose any pounds you maybe losing inches. Keep up the good work.
