So whatcha doin' this fine Sunday?

Jeannie, how was Kings Island?

Shanna, how was the prom??

I am working on cleaning house, and tackling Mt. Washmore.  As I'm washing up clothes and hanging up items, I take an item out that no longer fits and put it in my tote for either the Chicago Clothing Exchange or our next one - July?  I figure if I take something out when I bring in something new, I can get my closet under control and get rid of the stuff that truly no longer fits or looks good on me.

Choose to make it a great day and enjoy yourselves!

Christie, I'm tackling my tons of "too big for me" clothes today too. Plus laundry, sheets, etc. All the fun stuff that I have been putting off. AND I went and worked out at the gym for the first time today since I had my PICC line and TPN. I am exhausted, but t was a great workout. Can't wait to start with the trainers again!

Hi all... I had a good day hanging out with Mikey yesterday. We left big Mike watch the first rounds of the NFL draft in peace. I had to take Mikey out, or else he would've been bugging him all day, because the big tv has the game systems hooked up to it.

We went with the doggie to the dog park. LOL. She is not a running around in a field dog. We let her go and sat down in lawn chairs. She just laid down in front of us.

Today we hung out some more. It's been a nice time.

Well shoooooottt.... I responded to this thread earlier today but for some reason it didnt post.  Yesterday was a hoot, we had a really good time, I didn't sit still all day.  Today I am exhausted.  We were getting in line for the new coaster its called Diamondback.  The woman in front of us was slightly on the heavy side and the guy working the line had her stop and try the little sample seat they have to make sure she would fit, he told her "I don't want you to wait in line for nothing".  Thank goodness she fit, I felt her pain and breathed the sigh of relief right along with her.  Next comes our turn, the guy don't even look twice at us...whew I don't look fat to the kid!!!  That was an amazing feeling.

Then came the big downer for the day on the very last ride of the day.  There were four teenage girls waiting in the line in front of us, I imagine they had been to their prom the night before from sorta hearing their conversations and seeing their hair still in an updo.  Anyway one of the girls was heavy and when it come her turn to ride she wouldn't fit.  The girl working the ride tried everything to get the bar to close so of course that just made everyone look becasue it was taking a long time.  Finally she asked the young girl to get off because the bar wasn't going to close, so she had to take the walk of shame that so many of us have had to make, I felt so much of her pain.  Then the smartass jerk behind me speaks up "maybe she will be so embarassed that she won't eat so much".  I was mortified, this is the first time that what I had always felt in the past had been confirmed...we are judged by our weight.  I so wish that people had a better understanding of obesity and if we could just "not eat" we all would do that.  I know for me and probably most of us my obesity was/is a scar of some deep emotional stuff going on that I am working hard to overcome, it is/was my battle scars.  I didn't say anything to the jerk, I was speechless, but my heart was broken for the young girl and the millions just like her, who are being judged.  I HATE IT!!
