Some shocking GREAT news today... I think....

Well, I'm only 6 mos out but found out I'm pregnant..  Yikes....

We were in the process of switching bc methods and boom

I will be calling dr E's office on Monday... I haven't had any eating problems so I'm not really worried.. well kinda not worried...lol

I'm still 30lbs away from goal.....

any advice..???  

Wow! Congrats. I'm sure you'll be able to work it all out. This has been a fear of mine, as my husband and I suffered with infertility for 6 years, so that possibility that it could "just happen" as I'm losing weight is a bit scary.

I have done it all...clomid, femara, injectibles, IVF, surgery....    I never ovulated on my own...never...  Got pg with my son while seeing a fertility doctor.   We tried IVF last year and had a m/c.   Believe me when I say... it is very possible after WLS.

Thanks for the reminder, I'll be calling my OB GYN on Monday to get put back on birth control. We haven't used anything for 6 years. Chances are still slim because my husband has severe sperm count issues, but it only takes one!

I would call the dieticians too. You will need to watch very closely what you take in and such. I'm sure you can have a healthy pregnancy with support and help. Congratulations!

Congratulations!  A new baby - how nice!  Being 6 mos out, at least you can eat a lot more than we could in the beginning - that will help a lot.  The dieticians will be your biggest help I think!

Congratulations!  I would be kinda scared, too.  But like everything on this journey....I think we make it out to be scarier than it is....I'm sure you will do really well.

I myself do not ovulate.  I haven't for YEARS.  I have to take birth control pills to even have a period at all.  However, a couple months ago I missed a couple pills and just didn't get back on....and then I thought.....I'll be the one to get pregnant.  So, I am back on them.  However, even after losing the 130lbs I still don't have a period without BCP.  I think we were probably safe. Better safe then sorry....well, not sorry....but SURPRISED!  (My husband and I have decided against children)

I think this is a true joy since you have worked so hard to get pregnant in the past.  Jus****ch out you might have to be careful not to KEEP getting pregnant now....something most of us have never had to do.
