dakota's (my son) dr is the leading child doctor for colon, stomach, etc in the world and told me today that he had never seen a case like dakota's there is a spot in his deuadenam (where the intestine meets the stomach, i believe) and it has been there since at least 2007, but the dr says since he has never seen anything like it before..."it scares the hell out of him" to quote him.  he did several biopsies today and now we wait

i spoke w. my surgeons office today and i have the h pilori germ virus whatever...it causes your stomach to produce more acid which makes you more prone to ulcers...which they have put me on two diff. antibiotics for it so it can get better b/4 surgery....

also back in 1998 when i was having my tubes tide, my chest xray showed at spot on my lung about 9mm in size...back then i was told it was hystoplasmosis...welp...it's still there and st vincent wants to check it out by doing a ct scan and make sure everything is OK...they said it prolly WAS hystoplasmosis...THAT i can deal with!!!
however, it did kinda scare me after 22 yrs of smoking...but since it's the same size as the spot that was there in 98...i dont think its anything to worry about....
phewwwwwwwwwww

i will keep yall updated on dakota's results... and please, please say a prayer for him...he may be 18, but he's my baby and the only one i got!

thanks guys!

Will keep Dakota in my thoughts and prayers!

So you have H Pylori - cool - they can fix that.  They just want to make sure your baby tummy won't develop an ulcer.

I am sure you are fine with the spot on your lung - especially since it is the same size since 1998 - I'd bet that you're just fne and good to go!  Breathe a sigh of relief Pam - it's almost done!

Pam sweetie, you and Dakota are in my prayers. You are lucky to be at St. V's where they will be thourough for you. Dakota's condition sounds quite amazing that they found it and can now treat it. My baby and first born is 20 (almost 21) and he and his girlfriend and my grandson, and baby on the way (due in Aug) just moved back in with us and its nice to have my baby home. Yes, its a struggle with two households put together but, you do anything for your kids, am I right? Keep the faith girlfriend and everything will be fine. God keep you in his graces.
Love ya
Be Well  : )

Pam
Honey sorry you are going through this.
I will keep Dakota and you in my prayers.
No matter how old or how big they will always be our babies.
The waiting is the hard part,we are here for you.
My fil had the h pilori virus and they found it when he went in for bleeding ulcers after treating him he says now i can eat and not feel like im on fire.
It will work out and as Christy says you are almost there.
