Lyn update--prayers please

I know you have all been praying for Lyn since back in Janurary but we need some special ones again.  I had to call the ambulance to have him transported to ER Sunday and he has pneumonia.  He has been on antibiotics since then but his temp today is still 101.  They did let him come home instead of admit him and hopefully I can keep him home.

It really worries me because his official diagnosis is "persistent vegetative state"-----ugh  I hate that---I hate it when people are referred to as "vegetables".  He is still my husband who I love dearly, not a vegetable and I think those of you who visited with us at the hospital would agree.  Anyway, most people with this diagnosis usually end up passing away from infections and infections are his biggest threat, so of course I am worried.

I have no way to weigh him but it does look like he is losing weight still--I keep telling him his surgery was a success, it was just some problems after the surgery.  I keep telling him he is going to "wake up" and be a lot smaller

Our daughter Candi who is a RN also is planning to stay with him Saturday so I can get out and come to the clothing exchange so if he is stable I will be there.  It sure is different having to plan going out of the house and getting a sitter.

Thanks for your prayers, they have brought us this far.

Terry,  I'm so sorry that Lyn and you are going through this. Keep reminding him to think positive and he is in the best place he could be right now. IV antibiotics will be the best thing to help him. Anything is possible with love. We also got you covered on the prayers here!!
I hope to meet you at the clothing exchange.

A Healing Prayer:
God, like a watchful Shepherd, You care for us. You make the earth yield healing herbs and medicines and give us the knowledge to learn their power. Your creative love continues through the healing hands of doctors, pharmacists, and nurses, and the healing counsel of priests, ministers, and friends.

be strong gal!

Terry I am sorry to hear of Lyn's newest battle.  My prayers are with you both at this time.  I hope you get to go to the clothing exchange and see some friends and share in some fellowship.  I am not able to make this one, but you will all be on my mind.
